Skyrim Unofficial Patch 1.0 Released; lots of bugs/issues/quests fixed by the community

Remember back in March when we informed you about an unofficial patch for Skyrim? Well, it seems that the team responsible for it had released its beta form back then. The patch saw two additional beta releases (1.02 and 1.03) and a couple of days ago, the team decided to release its RC version. In case you are unaware of, this is a patch made by dedicated community members and modders to fix Skyrim into what it should’ve been in the first place. It already fixes THOUSANDS of bugs (an understatement) and if you install this, most of the major quest bugs and gameplay problems of Skyrim will be gone. ENBSeries creator introduces Five Day War, an upcoming RTS PC game; first screenshots released

Boris Vorontsov, creator of the ENBSeries mods, has introduced a new strategy game that he’s currently working on. This game is called Five Day War and will be a RTS game for the PC. Although we don’t have enough information about it, Boris has shared some early screenshots from it that can be viewed below. In the first two screenshots, Boris has placed a 3D model to an actual photo in order to check if all parameters are realistic enough. In the other three shots, we can see some amazing lighting effects and shadow techniques that will be used. There is no ETA as of yet but according to Boris, the team is getting near to completing its development. Success: Dark Souls is coming to the PC this August

And as you may have guessed, all those rumors were true all along. Dark Souls is officially coming to the PC. As promised, german magazine PC Action had a feature for a console exclusive RPG hitting the PC and that was Dark Souls. The PC version will be called ‘Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition’ , will feature new boses and will be released this August. You can find below an image from the cover of PC Action. Wasteland 2 reaches its $2.1 million goal; Planescape Torment’s Developer will help them after all

And they have finally made it. Wasteland 2’s Kickstarter campaign has reached $2.1 million USD, meaning that Planescape Torment’s developer and Obsidian’s Chief Creative Officer, Chris Avellone, will help inXile in developing the game. As Brian Fargo had stated, Chris is going to help push the density and literary content of the game. Awesome news. Defiance gets a Combat Gameplay Teaser Trailer

Back in June, we informed you about Defiance, Trion Worlds’ and SyFy’s latest action MMO game. Defiance promises to combine the intense action of a shooter, with the persistence, scale, and customization of an MMO game. Moreover, developers plan to ‘sync’ both the show and the game. This means that the show and the game will influence each other and evolve together over time. With PAX under way, Trion Worlds released a gameplay trailer for it that contains pre-alpha footage. Mass Effect 3 Cinema Mod is an interesting ENBSeries mod for Bioware’s RPG

Although Boris abandoned his plans of releasing a new version of his ENBSeries mod for Mass Effect 3, modder MrChowderClam decided to go the extra mile and create a proper version of it for Bioware’s RPG. Naturally, this mod is based on Boris’ earlier version, so kudos to both of them. The result of MrChowderClam’s work is Mass Effect 3 Cinema Mod, a pretty interesting ENBSeries mod that comes with richer colors, grain film effects and better atmosphere. Although the mod has been out for a while, MrChowderClam has recently released a new, color enhanced version of it that looks great. You can find a video of it – as well as its download link – below. Cliff Bleszinski wants Epic to return to their roots; wants to produce less linear/scripted games

You know what? Today feels really like an April’s fools day. I mean, take a look at Romero’s statements that we’ve posted a couple of hours ago. Sounded awesome, right? Well, here comes and Cliff Bleszinski to jump on the ‘less-linear games’ band-wagon. No, I’m not kidding. That Cliff, the same one that was responsible for slow paced and scripted games like GoW – and my God GoW 3 has lots of scripted events – has revealed that he wants to produce less linear games. Torchlight II – Berserker Preview Teaser Video

Runic Games have released a new in-game video for their upcoming action RPG, Torchlight II. This video is preview of the Berserker charge-bar mechanic from Torchlight II. As the Berserker attacks her enemies, she gradually gains charge. When the charge limit is reached, the Berserker goes into a Frenzy state, where all attacks result in Critical Hits.
