A while ago, we informed you about the features of Dark Souls PC. As you may remember, Namco has revealed back then that the PC version would be using GFWL. Naturally, a lot of PC gamers got annoyed by it and decided to express their opinion on Namco’s forums. Crate Entertainment decided to jump on the Kickstarter bandwagon and initiated a campaign for their upcoming action RPG, Grim Dawn. Grim Dawn is an action role-playing game for PC and a spiritual successor to Titan Quest. For the past two years a small team of former Iron Lore veterans at Crate Entertainment have been developing Grim Dawn with their own, improved version of the Iron Lore engine and tools; the same technology used to create Titan Quest. Now that’s a nice surprise. In the UK retail land, Skyrim has managed to top the ‘The Sims 3’ series and reclaimed its throne. Bethesda’s RPG is selling like crazy and is followed by Football Manager 2012 and The Sims 3: Showtime. Both Mass Effect 3 and The Sims 3 have lost one place and can be spotted at the fourth and fifth place respectively, while Star Wars: The Old Republic, Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai and the remaining The Sims 3 games can be spotted at the very same places of last week’s charts. I’m overly excited to inform you guys that the amazing dungeon-crawler RPG, Legend of Grimrock, is profitable after three days of availability. After all those idiotic claims that PC gaming is dead, indie devs and small studios prove again and again that their PC sales can cover the initial costs of their games in less than a week. We’ve seen that with Alan Wake and we’re seeing this very same thing today with Almost Humans’ indie title. And how about Amnesia, an amazing horror game that remains exclusive to the PC platform?
