Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [November 25th – December 1st]

Today we bring you new images and videos from the works of modders ReVan1199, lYXl, Wayne Dalton, chicken, matthewhxq, walid-payne, RayFan9876, and evp_uk. In addition, we added some shots from CryDev member ‘Tom Yum 72’ who used MaLDo’s HD texture pack with his own SweetFX settings. The highlight of this week is matthewhxq’s breathtaking mountain shots. This mapper is currently trying to recapture the ‘wow’ factor of Unreal Engine 4’s tech demo, and has succeeded in doing so. Bioshock Infinite Packshot Revealed & Looks Horrible

2K Games and Irrational Games have officially unveiled the packshot of Bioshock: Infinite and in all seriousness, it looks awful. I mean, this packshot is better suited for a game like Far Cry 3 and not Bioshock. Come on, take a look at it. No Elizabeth at all in the cover? Sure thing, Irrational Games wants to move away from Elizabeth’s impressive breast, but this packshot is a generic as it can possibly get. It looks horrible and we can’t believe that a studio like Irrational has chosen this cover. Man what a disappointment. You can view it below, so be sure to share your thoughts on it! New trailer for Double Fine’s The Cave

SEGA has unveiled a new trailer for Double Fine’s The Cave, a 2D perspective puzzle adventure platform with 3D visuals. The game draws inspiration from Gilbert’s earlier work on PC adventure games and looks quite interesting. Nvidia GeForce 310.64 Beta Drivers Boost Far Cry 3 Performance

Nvidia has released a new bera driver for its GPUs, the GeForce 310.64. According to its release notes, this driver offers up to 38% faster performance in Far Cry 3. In addition, these drivers also include the previously released optimizations for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Assassin’s Creed III, providing up to 26% faster performance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and up to 18% faster performance in Assassin’s Creed III, as well as smooth, shimmer-free graphics with TXAA antialiasing in both games. Deus Ex – New Vision Version 1.5 & HDTP Beta Released

Great news for all Deus Ex fans, as the team behind New Vision has released its final version. In case you were unaware of, New Vision is a project that overhauls the environmental textures of ION Storm’s classic first-person shooter / RPG title. Those interested can download it from here or here. What’s also great here is that another team has released a beta version of the HDTP mod for Deus Ex. Splinter Cell: Blacklist – Non-Lethal Variety Trailer

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist, in which Animation Director, Kristjan Zadziuk, takes us on a tour of some of the non-lethal take downs. Stealth fans will definitely like this video, and it will be interesting to see whether the game’s level design will offer proper stealth approaches or not. Two New Screenshots Revealed For Survarium

Vostok Games has released today two new screenshots for its upcoming free-to-play MMOFPS, Survarium. Survarium is the spiritual successor of the STALKER series, and promises to feature RPG and survival elements, as well as a post-apocalyptic atmosphere that will influence the gameplay in many different ways, mutants, underground levels and bullet ballistics.
