Hawken enters open beta next week, Path of Exile open beta delayed to January 2013

Free-to-play fans, we got some good and some bad news for you today. The good news is that Hawken, Adhesive Games’ F2P mech game, is scheduled to enter open beta next week, on December 12th. The bad news is that Path of Exile, one of our most anticipated action hack-n-slash RPGs, is delayed to January 2013 as Grinding Gear believes that a Christmas release is really dangerous and could possibly damage the game and its fanbase. Crysis 3 will get an online cinematic video series, teaser trailer released

Electronic Arts and Crytek today announced a creative partnership with renowned filmmaker Albert Hughes to produce an online video series inspired by the upcoming sandbox shooter, Crysis 3. Entitled, “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3”, this cinematic series will set the stage for this latest installment in the Crysis series and introduce weapons, enemies, and gameplay features new to the franchise. These cinematic shorts will also showcase the stunning visuals, dynamic environments of the urban rainforest and intense adaptive warfare fans can expect when Crysis 3 ships on Friday 22 February in UK. BioWare is working on a new DLC for Mass Effect 3 with nine writers & three composers

The entire Legacy of Kain series is coming to Steam, Planescape: Torment also spotted on Steam’s registry

Great news for old-school fans, as the entire Legacy of Kain series (well, apart from the very first game) has been spotted on Steam’s registry, suggesting that Kain and Raziel are coming to Valve’s digital distribution service. Not only that, but after various rumors about a sequel to Planescape, the original and classic RPG, Planescape: Torment, has been spotted on Steam’s registry. This obviously means that this RPG – considered the best RPG by a lot of fans – will be coming indeed on Steam, as Steam’s registry is as a reliable source as it can possibly can. Mike Capps Steps Down as President of Epic Games

Man, seems that Epic is undergoing a lot of changes. Think about it; after Cliff Bleszinski’s retirement, it’s time for Mike Capps to step down and handle off his current presidential duties at Epic. It’s ironic, but these two people were among those who made Epic what it was back in the golden days. Guru programming – and founder – Tim Sweeney remains on board, but we are really curious to see what will happen with Epic Games and whether those retirements will be a good thing for PC gamers or not. Dishonored – Update 1.2 Released

Bethesda has released a new update for Dishonored. This new patch updates the game’s version to 1.2 and is available for all platforms (PC, X360 and PS3). According to Bethesda, this patch fixes minor localization issues, Game Settings are now saved and restored properly even when using Steam offline, and adds support for playing the game on multiple screens.
