Digital Extremes has released a new trailer for its free-t0-play third person title, Warframe, showcasing the PhysX effects that have been introduced to it. Nvidia owners will enjoy some new particle effects, though we have to say that we were not impressed with what Digital Extremes added. After all, we’ve seen these particular effects in both Hawken and Planetside 2, so there is nothing new or extraordinary here. Nevertheless, it’s a welcomed addition, and you can view the trailer below! Continue reading Warframe – PhysX Trailer→
We here in DSOG love Frictional Games’ titles. The first Penumbra titles were pretty cool and were focused on both horror and puzzle physics mechanics/elements. Even though they had a number of issues, there was potential for something truly great, and Amnesia – the spiritual successor of Penumbra – has proven how talented and creative this team actually is. Therefore, we’re delighted to inform you about a high-resolution texture pack that is currently under development for the second part of the Penumbra series, Penumbra: Black Plague. Despite the claims of Activision’s Greek distributor, IGE, of the PC version getting cancelled, Activision has released this title on the PC, and has already been leaked – though in some regions the game may be already available – by a specific pirated scene group. In an awkward turn of events, 2K Games allowed IGN to break its review embargo for Irrational Games’ upcoming title and post a ‘in-progress’ review of it. Naturally, this exclusivity frustrated a lot of video-game journalists. In those frustrated journalists we can even find Geoff Keighley and Polygon’s Arthur Gies.
