Blizzard Entertainment announced today that as of the first 24 hours of Diablo III’s release, more than 3.5 million copies had been sold, setting the new all-time record for fastest-selling PC game. Happy Times – Mortal Kombat Turns 20 Years Old

Man, it’s been 20 years since the release of the first Mortal Kombat game. Some hated it, others loved it. Personally, I loved all 2D versions of this legendary series and I still remember visiting the arcades to play Mortal Kombat 2. Or how about the cencored SNES version of MK1 that was – kind of – awful? Or the way the media advertised it, stating that this game would turn us into psychopaths? Ah, the memories. But anyway. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes – Open World Gameplay Trailer

Warner Bros have released a new trailer for LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes that showcases the massive open world gameplay mechanics of it. Batman and Robin return in LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, the highly-anticipated sequel to the best-selling LEGO videogame of all time, which to date has sold more than 11 million units worldwide. This time the Dynamic Duo join forces with other famous DC super heroes including Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern to stop the notorious villains Lex Luthor and The Joker from destroying Gotham City. Lost Planet 3 – First Gameplay Footage Emerged

If memory serves right, Lost Planet 1 was a fantastic third person action game with huge bosses. Fast forward a couple of years and here we are today with Lost Planet 3, a game that looks more similar to Dead Space than to its predecessors. Pressing buttons? Check. Riding elevators? Check. Far Cry 3 gets a Collector’s ‘Insane’ Edition

Ubisoft announced today the details of the UK Far Cry 3 Collector’s Edition that will be available for the X360, PS3 and PC versions of the game. This “Insane Edition” includes a 12cm Vaas Wahine with bobble head, one hour additional gameplay with a new character and his special missions, two suspenseful action packed missions totaling over 40 minutes of additional gameplay and an exclusive weapon (The Japanese gun), the Hunter, Warrior, and Predator weapon Packs, and an ‘Insanity Guide’ containing hints and tips to help you survive the island. NBA 2K13 Release Date Announced; coming to Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP and PC

Take-Two Interactive has announced that NBA 2K13 will be unleased to Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP and PC on October 2nd. Although 2K Sports has not revealed any details – at all – for the 2013 version of their acclaimed basketball game, Take-Two has revealed that NBA 2K12 has shipped 5 million units. Unreal 3 powered free-to-play FPS, World of Mercenaries, enters Closed Beta phase

City Interactive has announced the launch of the closed beta phase for World of Mercenaries. Beginning today, anyone with a beta key can redeem it through Steam and start playing it. The closed beta comes with two maps in two different modes. These two modes are described as a ‘classic’ and a ‘heavy team-oriented’ one.
