It’s been a while since our last look on State of Decay, an upcoming sandbox zombie game that is being developed by Undead Labs. The game has been showcased at this year’s PAX East and RaidWarning has captured some new footage. In State of Decay, players will be able to decide where they’d like to set up a fortified safe heaven for them and other survivors they have rescued, form raiding parties to gather resources and create supply chains. Players can also use the materials they have gathered to develop their community as they see fit, however resources will deplete as they pillage areas, and zombies are attracted to noise and activity. Enjoy! Continue reading State of Decay – Off-Screen Gameplay PAX East 2013→
A new entry of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen appeared out of nowhere on the German store of GameStop. According to this listing, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be coming to the PC, though there is no release date as of yet for it. We know that a lot of PC gamers will be overwhelmed with joy after hearing this, however you should not count on GameStop’s listing for possible leaks. After all, the German store has Prey 2 coming on October 13th, 2013, meaning that this could simply be a placeholder and nothing more. As we’ve said in our Performance Analysis, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is not a great looking game. Thankfully, though, PC gamers can improve the game’s visuals with the SweetFX mod. Since we love this tool – created by Guru3D’s member “CeeJay.dk” – we gave it a go and created three settings for all of you that significantly improve the image quality. It’s a bit ironic, but Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 was originally meant to be out just a couple of months after the release of Sniper Elite V2. In order to further polish its title, though, City Interactive decided to delay it almost a year before unleashing it to the masses. The funny thing here is that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is average at best, is full of scripted events, and is packed with mediocre visuals. Yes, the game is powered by CryEngine 3 and even though the debut screenshots looked good enough – back in 2012 – the final build looks underwhelming. Zombie Studios has released the debut trailer for its upcoming “randomly generated” horror game that is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 4, Daylight. Daylight is planned for release on Steam later this year and promises to be the first 3rd party game that will be built with Epic’s latest game engine. With only the light of a cell phone to guide them, players will navigate the halls of a dark building as a woman who’s just woken up. What’s interesting here is that every experience will be different as rooms are randomly generated, and players will only learn about the game’s story via clues they discover as they explore. Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more! Continue reading Unreal Engine 4-powered horror game “Daylight” gets a debut trailer→
Remember Capcom’s classic 2D side-scrollers? You know, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, The Punisher, Knights Of The Round and Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom? Well, the Japanese company decided to revive the D&D games (Tower of Doom and Shadow over Mystara). Both these titles are now being re-released with updated HD graphics and a wealth of other enhancements as a definitive double pack entitled. Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara is planned for release this June, and you can view a trailer and some screenshots below. And here is hoping that we’ll see more re-releases of those classic side-scrollers (we want a HD version of Cadillacs & Dinosaurs Capcom, make it happen). Codemasters has released a new video for GRID 2, featuring 25 minutes of gameplay footage from a number of stages and events. It looks kind of cool, though the driving mechanics look as arcade-ish as you can remember them to be from all previous Codemasters racers, and there is no cockpit you as you most probably already know. GRID 2 is planned for a May 31st release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy! Continue reading GRID 2 – 25 Minutes Of Gameplay Footage Featuring Indianapolis, Chicago, Barcelona and Drift→
