I’m pretty sure that by now, most of you are already aware about the lawsuit against SEGA and Gearbox for the early gameplay trailers and footages of Aliens: Colonial Marines. According to the lawsuit and as described by Polygon, SEGA and Gearbox ‘falsely advertised Aliens by showing demos at trade shows like PAX and E3 which didn’t end up being accurate representations of the final product‘ and that ‘by sending out review code to the press under an embargo that lifted in the early morning of Aliens: Colonial Marines’ launch date of Feb. 12, the game’s pre-orderers and early adopters would have no knowledge of the discrepancies between the demo and final game‘. Hilarious. Continue reading In SEGA’s & Gearbox’s Defense – Why The Aliens: Colonial Marines Lawsuit Is A Bunch Of Nonsense→
Zeno Clash 2 has just been released, and it seems that a lot of PC gamers are quite unhappy with it. The reason behind most of Steam users’ complains is the lack of an in-game FOV slider, something that made a number of gamers get sick while playing the game. It’s the typical headache you get from a low FOV setting, thus the developers decided to step in and explain why there isn’t any FOV setting. There comes a time when you realize that a specific game will flop. You see, while the gameplay trailers of Star Trek: The Video Game were quite good (thanks to clever editing), we always felt that something was ‘off’. Unfortunately, it seems that we were right as the actual gameplay mechanics of this new Star Trek game are awful. Since this is a Performance Analysis, we don’t want to focus on them but think of this title as a failed mashup of Mass Effect 3 (cover and combat mechanics) with Batman: Arkham Asylum (scanning abilities) that is accompanied by some truly bad and ‘robotic’ animation transitions. Now this is more like it. It seems that Codemasters is doing its best to promote its upcoming racer, GRID 2, and has released a new gameplay trailer for it. This new trailer shows off the Indianapolis stage, and contrary to the previous gameplay trailer, this one has the ‘GRID’ vibe we’ve been yearning for. Still, no cockpit view. GRID 2 is scheduled for a May 28th release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy! Continue reading GRID 2 – Indianapolis Gameplay Trailer→
It’s pretty obvious by now that the next Call of Duty title will be called Call of Duty: Ghosts. Activision has been gearing up for a reveal today (or at least what’s the word on the street), however it seems that a poster may have already leaked its release date. Ubisoft has released a new set of screenshots – as well as the launch trailer – for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Far Cry: 3 Blood Dragon lets players get the girl, kill the bad guys and save the world in a VHS-era vision of the future where… oh come on, you already know what Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is. Back in April 1st, we informed you about a mod for the original Duke Nukem 3D that aimed to recreate the 2001 version of Duke Nukem Forever. A lot assumed that this mod was just a hoax.
