Rise of the Triad – PC Performance Analysis

Rise of the Triad

Back in October 2010, we found out about a small team of enthusiasts who were working on a freeware remake of Duke Nukem 3D that would be powered by Unreal Engine 3. That small team was no other than Interceptor, the company behind Rise of the Triad’s remake. As with Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded, Rise of the Triad’s remake is powered by Unreal Engine 3, therefore we expected a pretty solid PC game. Unfortunately though, Rise of the Triad suffers from a lot of optimization issues. Continue reading Rise of the Triad – PC Performance Analysis

This is what happens when vehicle boost limit is disabled in games like Just Cause 2

Just Cause 2
Last weekend, the team behind the multiplayer mod for Just Cause 2 held an open beta phase. During that test, the JC2MP team had disabled the boost limit system for all vehicles. The result? Some pretty amazing moments that were captured by ‘Electronic0ldMen’. To be honest, I’d love to see such a feature being implemented in a game like an Achievement/Trophy/Reward/Cheat/whatever_you_want_to_call_it. Things like these make games fun, which is precisely why most of us love the Saints Row series. Enjoy! Half Life 2 Still Looks Spectacular – FakeFactory Cinematic 2013 Mod Trailer

Half Life
There is no denying that FakeFactory Cinematic is the best mod for Half Life 2. The aim of this particular mod is to raise the outdated graphical appearance of the Half-Life 2 trilogy to a state-of-the-art level, while giving it a more stressed, darker and minatory look. Cinematic Mod adds an emotional cinematic music soundtrack, optional HD models and unused content from the original games, and the modder behind is currently working on its 2013 version. As you may have guessed, the modder has released a trailer for it that can be viewed below. Enjoy! Continue reading Half Life 2 Still Looks Spectacular – FakeFactory Cinematic 2013 Mod Trailer

Rumor Alert – Prey 2 Screenshots Leaked

Prey 2 v2
A lot of Prey 2 fans hoped to see – or at least hear something about it – in this year’s QuakeCon. Well, bad news everyone as Prey 2 was not present. Still, some screenshots were leaked a couple of hours ago from what seems to be an early build of the game. Bethesda has not confirmed anything yet, so take them with a grain of salt. And no, the fact that these shots were leaked does not mean that the game is back in development. Kudos to NeoGAF member ‘zakislam’ for sharing them. Enjoy!
