Overgrowth Alpha 193 Changes

It’s been a while since our last look on Wolfire’s indie bunny title, Overgrowth. And even though the team has been polishing it, the game is still in alpha phase. Nevertheless, Overgrowth looks like one of the best indie attempts we’ve ever seen and Wolfire has released a new video, in which David Rosen showcases the changes that have been made to its latest alpha build. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dragonborn DLC Hinted On Latest Update, Might Include Mounted Dragons

Well, you gotta love gamers who take a closer look at one game’s files and uncover hidden information. Bethesda has released a beta patch for the PC version of Skyrim, and it seems that they have included some information about the game’s latest DLC. According to the information that has been brought to our attention, Skyrim’s new DLC will be called Dragonborn and is said to feature mounted spell casting, as well as mounted dragon combat. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Update 1.8 Beta Available On Steam

Bethesda has released the beta version of their latest 1.8 Update for Skyrim. Those interested in participating in the Steam beta will have to log into Steam, click on Steam in the upper menu, select Settings, go to the Beta Participation section (located under the Account tab) and select Change. BioShock Infinite’s Combat Design Director and AI Lead leave Irrational Games for Microsoft

Man, things are not looking good at Irrational Gammes. Two months ago, two key members of the development team on Bioshock Infinite have left Irrational Games. Those two members were Tim Gerritsen and Nate Wells. Not only that, but Irrational’s Design Manager went to Sucker Punch, while the company’s Senior System Design went to Harmonix. And here we are today, with Irrational’s Combat Design Director and A.I. Lead leaving the company in order to go to Microsoft. Ouch. DayZ Standalone – First Screenshots Revealed

Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall has unveiled the first screenshots from the standalone version of DayZ. As Dead notes, these are work-in-progress shots with only basic texture work and initial lighting passes. In other words, these are as early as they can possibly can. The standalone version of DayZ is expected around December and will follow Minecraft’s model (releasing as an alpha for early addopters and moving progressively towards the beta and final stages).
