Remember BeamNG’s tech demo that sported soft body physics? Of course and you do since that tech demo was one of the best you’ve ever tested… right? Well, our reader ‘Jonathan Gustafsson’ has informed us about a mod that adds a skateboard to that tech demo. Not only that, but Jonathan also shared two maps that can be used with this skateboard. These are Skatepark and Leap Of Death. Jonathan has captured some footage from this skateboard mod that can be viewed below. Enjoy! Continue reading Mod Adds A Skateboard To BeamNG’s Tech Demo
Capcom & Codemasters To Remove GFWL From Their Games
Great news for PC gamers as Capcom and Codemasters are going – or at least planning – to remove GFWL from their titles. As Codies revealed, it was really impressed with what 2K Games had done to Bioshock 2, thus the team is looking into removing GFWL and replacing with Steamworks. Though there is nothing concrete at this moment, it is obvious that both of the aforementioned companies are willing to step in and free their games from GFWL before it’s too late (GFWL services will be discontinued on July 2014). Dark Matter Is Incomplete, Yet Being Sold As A Finished Game
Most of you have probably already heard of Dark Matter; a 2.5D side-scrolling survival horror game, set in a derelict spaceship besieged by a sinister alien presence, and infested with deadly parasites. Dark Matter had a Kickstarter campaign that failed, though Iceberg Interactive was able to somehow pull things off and publish the game. Well… not exactly we say. It turns out that the game is incomplete and does not last as long as it was initially advertised, something that makes us worry about all the upcoming Kickstarted games (whether they failed or not). Project CARS Looks Fabulous – New Screenshots In All Their HD Glory
Slightly Mad Studios has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming racer, Project CARS. Contrary to our previous galleries, this time around we decided to keep the images in their original resolution, giving you the ability to further drool all over your monitor while viewing them. As the team noted, these images show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode, using no post-processing or filters that aren’t available during the actual gameplay. I know, I know – the gameplay videos do not look as impressive, right? Well, during those videos you were not really looking at the in-game vehicles from these angles, were you? Enjoy! Battlefield 4: “Duty Calls” – COD: Ghosts Parody Trailer
A couple of days ago, Activision released a number of live action trailers for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Those trailers were nothing great, therefore we decided to simply skip them. However this COD: Ghosts parody trailer for BF4 – based on those trailers – looks way better than the official ones. I mean, it’s really ironic that these live action trailers are more suitable for DICE’s title than Infinity Ward’s shooter. Kudos to our reader ‘Ghost Rider LSOV’ for sharing it. Enjoy! Call of Duty: Ghosts – Launch Trailer Leaked
Even though Call of Duty: Ghosts is planned for release next month, its launch trailer has already been captured and finalized. And guess what? Seems that someone has managed to leak it. This trailer shows off explosions, dogs, jungle environments, explosions, fish, Eminem and more explosions. Yeah, overall it looks quite good though it’s pretty obvious that everything feels so scripted. Enjoy the trailer – while its still live – below! John Carmack: Nvidia’s OpenGL extensions rival Mantle, 8GBs on consoles not a significant change
Earlier yesterday, John Carmack shared his thoughts on AMD’s Mantle. During Nvidia’s Montreal event, Carmack claimed that although he would be tempted to use Mantle, he would not do such a thing at this point. Carmack claimed that it’s not stupid – for AMD – to attempt something like that, however he believed that Sony and Microsoft would not embrace it. But why is Carmack against this new API? This Is The Most Awkward Moment In Nvidia’s Montreal Event – Fan Asks A Question About AMD’s Mantle
Okay, we knew this was going to happen. It was just a matter of time. During Nvidia’s event, a fan asked John Carmack, Tim Sweeney and Johan Andersson their opinion about AMD’s Mantle. This was the weirdest question asked, and all three programmers felt a bit… well… uncomfortable. Continue reading This Is The Most Awkward Moment In Nvidia’s Montreal Event – Fan Asks A Question About AMD’s Mantle
