THIEF was advertised as a game that would take advantage of the PC platform. The PC version is handled by Nixxes Software, the team that was behind Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Hitman: Absolution and Tomb Raider. Both Hitman: Absolution and Tomb Raider were unable to make good use of quadcores, therefore there were some CPU issues that affected those with weaker systems. This was precisely why we asked EIDOS Montreal whether THIEF would break free from that ‘tricore’ trend. Unfortunately, this is another title in which quadcores perform identical to tricores. Gods Will Be Watching Releases This June, Gets New Trailer
Deconstructeam and Devolver Digital have announced that upcoming indie thriller Gods Will Be Watching will arrive on PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam, Humble, and GOG this June. According to its press release, the updated and expanded Gods Will Be Watching is a minimalistic “point and click thriller” centered on despair, commitment, and sacrifice as players face intriguing puzzles and tough decisions that will affect their entire crew’s wellbeing. Watch Dogs – Incoming Trailer & Release Date
It appears that a new trailer for Watch Dogs is coming later today. The official PSN Competition page included a banner for a new trailer, that will supposedly also reveal the game’s release date. Apparently PSN leaked this info as it has already removed the banner from its page. Outlast – Whistleblower DLC Coming To PC This April
You know what is the worst thing for us, PC reviewers/bloggers/journalists/name_us_whatever_you_want? The fact that we cannot play a lot of games that are not assigned to us. DirectX & OpenGL catching up with Mantle, will offer low-level access to reduce draw overhead
Huge news PC gamers. While Nvidia has not commented yet on supporting Mantle, it appears that both DirectX and OpenGL will be catching up with AMD’s API. According to some slideshows from this year’s GDC, both DirectX and OpenGL will start offering low-level access in order to reduce draw overhead. This obviously translates to performance gains on older CPUs, something that will definitely excite PC gamers.
