The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Looks Glorious in 4K with SweetFX 2.0
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out and PC gamers have been experimenting with SweetFX in order to further enhance its visuals. And while we’ve seen some interesting SweetFX configs, nothing can come close to this unreleased config. It remains a mystery whether this mod will get released – especially since there are so many alternatives – however in our opinion this SweetFX config makes The Witcher 3 look gorgeous. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Proper Comparison Screenshots Between Final Version & “VGX” Trailer
Remember the Wild Hunt village scene from the game’s VGX trailer? Well, good news is that this scene is present even in the final version of The Witcher 3. The bad news is that this scene shows some of the differences between the VGX trailer and the final build. As always, the smoke effects are the ones that have been severely ‘downgraded. Particles effects are fewer in the final version, and the lighting system seems to have taken a hit. Kudos to NeoGAF’s member ‘JoeLT‘ for sharing the images. Ubisoft Reflections’ Artist Recreates Deus Ex: Human Revolution in Unreal Engine 4
Polycount’s member ‘FULGORE‘ has released some screenshots from his latest side-project. FULGORE is currently working at Ubisoft Reflections and decided to recreate Deus Ex: Human Revolution in Unreal Engine 4. FULGORE was inspired by the trailer of the new Deus Ex game, and these first images show the direction he’s chosen for this Deus Ex project. Do note that these are WIP shots, meaning that the final map may look completely different. Still, it’s great witnessing game artists from various studios experimenting with different engines. Enjoy!
