It appears that Need for Speed: Heat was the last game that Ghost Games developed for Electronic Arts. According to the publisher, the franchise will return to Criterion Games. It appears that Electronic Arts will officially reveal the next part in the Need for Speed franchise in two days. The publisher has added a counter on the game’s official page that ends on August 14th. As such, we can safely assume that EA will announce Need for Speed 2019 on that day. Need for Speed Shift is a racing series that made Slightly Mad Studios famous to the PC community. Shift was one of the first racers that implemented a spectacular cockpit view and was more sim than any other part of the NFS series (excluding NFS: Porsche Unleashed).
