CRYENGINE – Photogrammetry Fan Tech Tree Demo Released

Photogrammetry is a technique that we hope to see in more and more games. Thanks to it, video-games can look spectacular. Some games using it are The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Get Even and Star Wars: Battlefront. Grand Theft Auto V – New Mod Aiming To Offer Photorealistic Graphics, Currently Under Development

Reddit’s member ‘Toddyftw’ is currently working on a mod for GTA V (most probably an ENBSeries/Reshade mod) and shared some images from it. Toddyftw claimed that he’s aiming to make GTA V look as photorealistic as possible, and some of the following images do blend the line between reality and video-games. Our only complaint about this current version is the really dark-ish look to it. We believe that brightness should be slightly increased. Apart from that, it looks great so go ahead and take a look! The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Patch 1.08.1 Now Available

CD Projekt RED has released yet another patch for the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This patch is 4GB in size on GOG and around 20-100MB on Steam. From the looks of it, this is a hotfix that introduces a retro-active fix and mod support (do note that the game’s Modkit is not included, you have to download it manually from NexusMods). Fan Recreates Scene From Star Wars: Battlefront In CRYENGINE

CRYENGINE member ‘currve‘ has decided to recreate a scene from Star Wars: Battlefront in CRYENGINE. Star Wars: Battlefront is powered by DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine, and the following comparison shows some of the differences between these two engines. In case you’re wondering, we believe that the Frostbite 3-powered version looks bettter. Do note, however, that Star Wars: Battlefront was created by a triple-A team, whereas the recreation was made by an individual fan. It’s a pretty cool comparison, so go ahead and take a look!
