The modding team behind Fallout Vault 13, a fan remake of the first Fallout in the Fallout 4 Creation Engine, announced that a demo will come out tomorrow. The demo will become available at approximately 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
As the title suggests, Fallout Vault 13 aims to recreate the first Fallout game in Fallout 4’s engine. In other words, we’re looking at a total conversion mod.
From what we know, the playable area for the Fallout: Vault 13 demo will be roughly 1/3rd the size of the Commonwealth. This area will allow you to explore Vault 13, Vault 15, Shady Sands, The Khans, and numerous other new locations in the wasteland.
The ultimate goal of Fallout Vault 13 is to remake the entirety of Fallout 1. People will be able to explore all environments, both outdoors and indoors.
This mod, alongside Fallout London, is among the most ambitious fan projects for Fallout 4. Thus, we are really looking forward to trying the demo for Fallout Vault 13.
The modding team claimed that it will share the download link on its Discord server. So, if you are a fan of the first Fallout game, we highly recommend joining their server. I’ve also included below an older video from it, which will give you a glimpse at what the team aims to create.
If you are into Fallout 4, you might be interested in these other mods for it. For instance, there is a LOD mod that reduces distant objects/shadows/textures pop-ins. Then we have the Disk Cache Enabler Mod. There’s also a mod that adds ragdoll physics and collisions to dead bodies. Another amazing mod is this one that fixes the game’s long loading times. DirectHit is a mod that overhauls the AI of enemies. And let’s not forget this mod that adds real locational damage to all enemies. A few days ago, we also shared this mod that adds to the game 10 driveable cars/vehicles with Havok physics.
To improve the graphics or performance, you can use the following mods. For instance, there are various HD texture packs. You can either download this 8K Texture Pack or this 41GB 4K Texture Pack which optimizes all 40,962 textures. There’s also a mod that improves the faces of over 1450 NPCs. Finally, there is a mod that adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 2, AMD FSR 2 and Intel XeSS. Oh, and there’s a mod that adds AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Generation to the game.
Let’s also not forget the DLC-sized expansion mods that you can get for F4. Fallout New Vegas Remake in Fallout 4 is an unreleased mod that we’re really looking forward to. Then we have Fallout: Miami. America Rising 2 is another fan DLC/expansion mod that integrated the Enclave faction into the main story with 24 main quests. Caves Of The Commonwealth is another fan expansion that adds 2-5 hours of new gameplay content. Let’s also not forget Fallout London which looks promising. You can also download Sim Settlements 2 – Chapter 3, Whispering Hills which is a cool Silent Hill mod, and The Wilderness Mod. You can also download a new horror quest mod that is inspired by Lovecraft, Resident Evil and Dead Space. Last month, we also shared another quest mod for it. Oh, and the Mass Effect Evolution Mod is once again available for download.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

This whole scene has become pure cringe.
come on man, 2/3s of those don't represent the vast majority of other mod projects out there and a demo for a larger project they're still working on isnt that crazy
definitely checking this out.
I never tried Fallout 1. I might have to check this out if they manage to complete the game.
play fallout 1 its easy.
Recommend him to get that damn water chip as early as possible, though!
I remember messing up the very first time I played the game, back in 1997. 😁
yeah me too, the game was later patched to extend the time.
Not bad but nowhere near the level of FO: London.
FO: London can be nearly treated as full-fledged spin-off like what New Vegas is to FO:3 is what FO: London is to FO: 4.
all that praise for fallout london but from what i have seen its very linear with tons of dungeons and awful guns and no role playing.
Yeah I gave up on it after watching just one longplay video. It looked boring.
It's anything but linear lol
The opening is linear, just like most other games. But the worldspace is much bigger and denser than FO4, with some factions and actual cities.
when i say linear i am not talking about the worldmap, i am talking about choices, i watched like 6 hours of it, its linear and if you go and explore you get destroyed by high level enemies.
Is FO:London really as good as people say it is?🤔
Let's see if they implement rat diplomacy options.
How old does it look.
creation engine is forced upon people to cleanse their sins before the rapture. they've used to call the Pandora's box but now we call the "Todd's potty"
god the fallout 4 engine looks awful, especially the npcs.
Elder Scrolls, Half-Life, Fallout…
I sure loved these franchises in the 90s, and slightly less in the 2000s.
Now in 2024, I think that it's really time to move on.😕
PC gaming needs to reinvent itself with new stories and heroes and stuff.
And possibly, MUCH improved and smarter gameplay.
It's like being nostalgic of the great 80s/90s. Sure, best decades ever, my favorites.
But we're never going to experience another decade like these if we don't make it happen with new cool stuff.
At some point, using old stuff simply doesn't work anymore.
Like these damn Terminator and Predator movies, more awful in each sequel.
And let's not even mention Star Wars, which should have stopped aged ago.
It feels like the movie industry is trying to win a cringe woke competition with each new Star Wars.
In gaming, the 90s were the best years ever because we were innovative like crazy.
Now, between indie gaming which is starting to run in circles and boomer shooters which are worse than 90s FPS, and AAA gaming which is literally dead, and the woke virus ruining everything, it's about time a revolution happens in this industry.
Even the modding scene is always focusing on the same 5-10 games since more than 25 years now, for Christ's sakes.
(Yeah, Fallout 4 is more recent, but it actually plays WORSE than the games which came before it…)
