Modder ‘Teamhimes’ has released two cool new mods for Grand Theft Auto 5. The first mod adds a full dismemberment system to the game. The second mod introduces the Dead Eye system that we first saw in Red Dead Redemption.
Going into more detail, this new mod lets you blow off heads and limbs, with realistic gore covering the wounds. Every wound is fitted to the victim, and stump position is computed from the ped’s actual skeleton. Not only that, but you will be able to dismember people with the car, and you can slice limbs off with knives, machetes, and swords.
Now, while this is a really cool mod, it’s not perfect. My biggest gripe is that the head and limbs disappear the moment you blow them off. Also, seeing a rifle completely sever a leg feels too unrealistic. It’s fun, but there is definitely room for improvement.
As I said, there is also a mod that adds the Dead Eye system from Red Dead Redemption. By enabling it, time will slow to a crawl. Players will then be able to mark multiple targets and unleash them all in one deadly volley. What’s also cool here is that your character will actually turn, aim, and fire at every mark.
By combining these two mods, you can get a more gory experience. You can go ahead and download them from here and here. At the end of the article, you can also find a video. This video will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from them, so be sure to watch it.
Speaking of Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced, you can try these other mods for it. RealityV, NaturalVision Enhanced, and ChromatiX Enhanced are currently the best graphics mods you can use.
Then we have the Drive V Mod. Drive V overhauls the physics of all vehicles, bringing a more realistic driving system. Thanks to it, every car or vehicle feels different to drive. Each one has its own physics, so they don’t all handle the same. So, if you want a more realistic driving system, you should give it a go.
Next is this one, which improves the quality of all the main characters. Moreover, you can use this addon pack with it, which adds 40 new cars to the game. In July 2025, we also shared a mod that makes fights with NPCs more fun and diverse.
Finally, for our RTX-50 series readers, we have this mod that allows you to enable DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Gen. Sadly, though, it is behind a Patreon wall. From what I know, NVIDIA and Rockstar do not have any plans to add DLSS 4 MFG to the game as of yet. So, that’s kind of a bummer.
Have fun!
