Voices38 has been on fire. In just one day, he released not one, but two Denuvo cracks. The first Denuvo crack was for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The second, as the title implies, is for Crimson Desert.
Crimson Desert was released on PC in March 2026. As such, it took almost five months to crack it. To be honest, I was not expecting voices38 to crack this game. Then again, he cracked 007 First Light in record time, so apparently the cracker was interested in it.
Crimson Desert is a single-player third-person open-world action-adventure game. Moreover, the game packed some cool tech features when it came out. For instance, it has realistic water effects thanks to FFT Ocean simulation and Shallow Water simulation. These will enable realistic waves, currents, and ripples. The game will also have Ray Tracing effects.
Crimson Desert also has Volumetric Fog with fluid simulation, as well as GPU-based cloth and hair simulation. Players are also able to interact with the vegetation/grass. Plus, there are some cool wind effects.
What’s funny here is that Pearl Abyss added the Denuvo anti-tamper tech to the game just one week before its release. So now I’m curious to see whether the developers will remove it. My guess is that they’ll keep using it to protect future DLC releases. Then, once there are no more plans for new DLC, they may remove it. At least, that’s what most publishers tend to do these days.
To its credit, Pearl Abyss has been constantly updating the game these past few months. The team has already released a lot of patches to improve and enhance the game’s controls and combat system.
This means the cracked version may become outdated in two or three months. Right now, the game is in good shape. So, if you decide to sail on the high seas, you will experience a more polished version than the one we got at launch. However, Pearl Abyss has said that future updates will further improve the single-player campaign. So, keep that in mind.
I don’t like repeating myself, but as I’ve said before, this crack does not completely remove Denuvo from the game. All the Denuvo cracks we’ve gotten so far, from both EMPRESS and voices38, are bypasses. In other words, Denuvo will still run in the background. So, it will be meaningless to test and compare the cracked and the non-cracked versions.

I’m pretty sure that you will be able to find the cracked version quite easily via a simple Google search. Still, this doesn’t mean we can’t talk about it. In my opinion, it is quite fascinating to witness the cracking scene, or should I say voices38, cracking Denuvo games.
