Grand Theft Auto 2 RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod Released

Modder ‘gabdeg’ has released an RTX Remix Path Tracing mod for Grand Theft Auto 2. This mod will allow you to play this classic GTA game with real-time path tracing. This is a really cool way to re-experience this classic game. So, don’t sleep on it.

Thanks to Path Tracing, GTA 2 now has better lighting, including lights from fires, explosions, and gunfire. We also get a dynamic time of day for Remix Plus. For those who did not know, Remix Plus stands for custom community runtime forks or atmospheric add-on packs.

Furthermore, the RTX Remix mod adds emissive maps to some textures and fixes the 16:9 view. This stops cars and people from popping in at the sides of the screen. It can also reach 60 FPS with Frame Generation. Also, players can press F4 to open a settings panel and adjust the lighting and time of day.

What’s also cool here is that you can download GTA 2 for free. Rockstar Games made the game available as a free download in December 2004 as part of their “Rockstar Classics” series.
