Modder ‘Carl Asami’ has just released a cool new Fallout-inspired mod for classic Doom, called Fallout: Vault 666. This mod brings a new map that is heavily inspired by the first Fallout game, as well as weapons from it.
Going into more details, the mod will allow you to explore Vault 666. Players will be able to team up with Dogmeat, find The Water Chip, kill The Master, and save their pet bunny, Daisy, from dehydration.
The new weapons that you can use are The Powerfist, The Ripper, The Colt 6520, The Winchester, a NEW Sawed Off, The H&K MP9, The H&K L30 Gatling Laser, and The Turbo Plasma Rifle.
What’s also cool here is that Jet, Psycho, and Nuka-Cola are available from the vending machines. Plus, the mod has multiple ending slides, just like Fallout.
In short, this is a mod that a lot of Fallout/Doom fans will appreciate. So, if you are one of them, you can go ahead and download it from this link.
Speaking of Doom, here are some other cool mods for it. Voxel Doom is a mod that I highly recommend. As its title suggests, it replaces all sprites with voxels. Then we have Aliens Eradication TC which is a must-have mod for all our Aliens fans. A few days ago, we also shared a “Doom 3” Mod for Doom 2. That mod aimed to continue the story of Doom 2, and featured 2 whole chapters, 36 new tracks and 20+ hours of gameplay.
Brutal Doom: Black Edition is a mod that attempts to bring the art style of id Software’s Doom 3 to the classic Doom games. And how can we forget Brutal Doom? There’s also a cool Doom 64-inspired episode mod that you can download. Oh, and speaking of Doom 64. Doom 64: Unseen Evil is a mod that remakes Doom 1 & Doom 2 to look like Doom 64. Then we have Bloom, a crossover between Blood and Doom. Finally, if you own an RTX GPU, you should try Doom 2 Ray-Traced. Doom 2 Ray-Traced adds full path tracing effects to the game.
All of the above mods are cool, so be sure to try them.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
