Syndicate – Deep-Dive: Co-Op Trailer

Electronic Arts released today a brand new gameplay footage of Starbreeze’s upcoming FPS game that will be based on one of the most legendary PC series, Syndicate. This trailes shows off the game co-op mode, where an elite squad of 4 Agents can work cooperatively. Syndicate is currently slated for a 2012 release on the PC and current generation consoles. Enjoy! Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [December 25th – 31st]

The latest UK PC Charts have just been released and as we can see, Football Manager 2012 has managed to reclaim its throne. SEGA’s football manager is once again the best selling PC retail title in England, followed by last week’s king, Star Wars: The Old Republic. Both The Sims 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have managed to gain two places, whereas Skyrim can now be spotted at the seventh place. Super Meat Boy Is Platinum; over one million copies sold

Team Meat has just announced that Super Meat Boy has sold over one million copies. Yeap, that lovely indie game proved to be really successful and can be now considered as a platinum game. This is amazing news as Super Meat Boy was one of the best indie platform games of 2010. It took them almost a year to hit that milestone but who really cares. RAGE – News about the PC Level Editor coming this month

Ah, RAGE. A game with so potential that was never meant to be released in its current state on the PC. You’d think that iD Software would try their best to redeem themselves and fix it in due time, right? Well, apparently iD Software has other plans. Either that or they are waiting for the ‘right moment’ to release the next patch (that will include a sharpening option for the game’s textures) and its level editor to the PC. New Gorgeous Skyrim Shots; gionight is back with a punch

You thought that last week’s Skyrim shots were amazing, right? Well, guess again. Gionight is back with a punch and captured some new, jaw-dropping screenshots of Skyrim modded. As we’ve said in our Top 10 PC Optimized Games of 2011, Skyrim can look better than Crysis and here is the proof. These new screenshots sport the best PC visuals we’ve ever seen and prove how beautiful Skyrim can actually get. Overgrowth Alpha 163 Changes

Wolfire Games released a new video for their upcoming indie action adventure sequel to Lugaru, Overgrowth. In this video, David Rosen showcases some of the changes that were made to the game’s latest alpha version and let us tell you that Overgrowth keeps getting better and better each and every week. David Rosen is a really talented fella and some of the features of Overgrowth are really astonishing, like the new collision detection system with the trees that is showcased in this video. CryZone: Sector 23 Beta Is Out Now; Crysis Total Conversion, based on S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Team WoS Team, the team behind CryZone: Sector 23, a Crysis total conversion that is based on GSC’s STALKER, series has released its beta version which allows players to get acquainted with the post-apocalyptic world of «Cry» Zone. Players will find a few quests, and one, but huge in size, location, steeped with dense forest and wrapped innumerable villages, research facilities and military testing sites. As with STALKER, one of the key elements for this Mod is its A-life system (non-final version), which is basically scripts that will have an unpredictable and interesting impact in CryZone: Sector 23’s gameplay. Author of SkyBoost claims that Bethesda has no interest in boosting/fixing the PC version of Skyrim

A few days ago, we informed you about the latest version of SkyBoost, a CPU performance optimization mod that is based on Arisu’s TESV Acceleration Layer. After the findings of Arisu, we were hoping that Bethesda would acknowledged and fix it in a future patch. Apparently, that’s not the case as Alexander Blade, author of SkyBoost, claimed that Bethesda has no interest in boosting the PC version of Skyrim. Battlefield 3 – DICE is looking into enabling SMAA and FXAA support

SMAA and FXAA injectors are two tools that are pretty much essential to every PC gamer. SMAA injector comes with amazing AA results that do not blur the image, while the FXAA injector comes with options to tweak the HDR effects and saturation/contrast of your games. In an age where most developers and publishers are fighting piracy with all of their power, a confession from Larian Studios founder, Swen Vincke, comes to shake things up. According to Vincke himself, he wouldn’t be in this industry if he hadn’t pirated a couple of games. Now this is really shocking and we are impressed by Vincke’s honesty on this matter, as most developers/publishers would condemn piracy in due time.
