Kotaku has published today an interesting opinion piece by Katie Williams. Katie attended this year’s E3 and faced a sexist attitude towards her from various PR representatives. Although Katie did not reveal which studios were the ones that had that attitude towards her, she described a game in which she encountered – perhaps for the first time during E3 – that sexist attitude and it seems that this game is no other than Bohemia’s Interactive military FPS, ArmA III. THQ has released a live-action trailer for Darksiders 2. Awakened by the End of Days, Death, the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen, embarks upon a quest to restore mankind, and redeem his brother’s name. Along the way, the Horseman discovers that there are far worse things than an earthly Apocalypse, and that an ancient grudge may threaten all of Creation. The UK PC Retail and Steam Digital charts have been revealed and as we can see, Diablo III and ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead are at the top places. As usual, the UK PC retail charts are, somewhat, similar to last week’s. Max Payne 3 lost three places, whereas Shogun 2: Total War Fall of the Samurai and Battlefield 3 gained one and three places, respectively. After Cevat Yerli’s statements, it’s time for Epic to heat things up. Instead of bashing the other engines though, Mark Rein, Vice President and Co-Founder of Epic Games, concentrated on their own engine and claimed it to be their best engine yet. Not only that, but Rein re-confirmed that the engine will scale down on all other devices and stated that it will be ‘rocking up and down the entire scale of next gen devices‘. Perfect World Entertainment and Zombie Studios announced that their free-to-play FPS, Blacklight: Retribution, will hit Steam and will be packed with both Steam Achievements and Stats. Although the companies have not announced any release date yet, we can expect it to hit Valve’s distribution service ‘soon’. It’s been almost a week since the release of Wolfram, the freeware remake of Wolfenstein 3D, and more than 10K people have downloaded it. That’s really amazing and we bet that Chain Studios was really impressed with that number. In addition, the indie studio has released a new update for Wolfram that fixes various issues, crashes and rebalances the game a bit.
