NVIDIA’s Morgan McGuire: “First triple-A game to require a ray tracing GPU will be released in 2023”

While real-time ray tracing is a tech that NVIDIA is currently trying to push, it appears that the first triple-A game that will require a Ray Tracing graphics card will not be coming out anytime soon. According to NVIDIA’s Morgan McGuire, the first triple-A game that will not run on non-Ray Tracing GPUs will be released in 2023 (which is four years from now). Far Cry fans, here is something for you today. Modder ‘Hunter’ has released version 1.0 of Far Cry 3 Redux; an immersion focused project that aims to overhaul various aspects of Far Cry 3. Demo for Unreal Gold port in GZDoom Engine is now available for download

Let me start this article by saying that I really don’t know why someone has decided to port the classic Unreal game into the GZDoom Engine. I mean, GZDoom is not THAT advanced compared to Unreal Engine so I don’t really know what is happening here. Still, I find it really cool witnessing a 1:1 port of Unreal in a completely different engine, which is why I decided to share it with you. According to its description, KB4505903 updates an issue that could display colors incorrectly (aka color banding issues) when viewing an image on 10-bit display panels; an issue that affected both NVIDIA and AMD users.
