Oh boy, I don’t know which is worse. That someone used Ronnie Nelis name to post a user review in Metacritic or that Nelis wanted to send the police to him? Long story short, an individual trolled FlatOut 3’s Metacritic page and posted a user review by using the name of Team 6 Studios’ CEO. Ronnie Nelis found out about it, contacted Metacritic and the review was removed. So far, so good. What followed afterwards, though, caught us off guard. If you’ve been playing BioWare’s MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic, you have definitely noticed the difference between the in-game and cinematic textures. We’ve all been waiting for BioWare’s response to this, and it seems that the company has been experiencing technical issues with the high-resolution textures. At least that’s what SWTOR’s Community Manager, Stephen Reid, stated on SWTOR’s official forum. Continue reading BioWare responds to Star Wars: The Old Republic’s low-resolution textures→
Akella Games released a new update for their third person action game, Postal 3. Although the company hasn’t provided us with the English changelog, we can safely assume that it’s the same with the Russian one that was released a couple of days ago. As always, Steam will auto-download it next time you start the Steam client and you can view the Russian (and most likely English) changelog after the jump. This is just sad. Seeing modders accusing each other and stating that they’ll drag them to the courts is just SAD. Not because there was a disagreement between two teams, but because modders should have high standards and should not cause troubles to the community. These are the guys that we love and should not behave child-ish or like some triple-A ‘God awful’ companies. First things first though. In case you were unaware off, SkyrimOnline is a mod for Skyrim that promises to bring some Online functionality to it. The team felt the need to speed up things, therefore they started a partnership with SkyNet. And then, all hell broke loose. After Epic Games, Riot Games has gone public and stated that they are against both SOPA and PIPA. This is huge and we hope that more developers will follow the example of these companies. SOPA (and PIPA that has not been mentioned previously) is atrocious and can harm the gaming industry, plain and simple. Continue reading Success: Riot Games – developers of League of Legends – is against SOPA/PIPA→

After watching the E3 2011 footage, we felt a bit underwhelmed about the latest adventures of Hitman. To make things worse, an ‘Eagle mode’ was present that felt out of place, especially for a Hitman game. If you were one of those disappointed fans, rejoice. Why? But because Hitman: Absolution will feature a hardcore stealth mode. Continue reading Hitman: Absolution will feature a hardcore, purist stealth mode→
