Jorge Jimenez, a realtime graphics R&D programmer, has released a mind-blowing video that showcases the latest and final advances on real-time skin rendering (Separable Subsurface Scattering), which enable to quickly render skin in just two post-processing passes. What’s really important here is that everything you are about to see is written from scratch using DirectX 10 and rendered in real-time, from the skin to the film grain. Diablo III will be ‘color-blind’ friendly; game is built with that in mind

You know what? Color-blind gamers have the right to enjoy each and every game. Most of them can’t distinguish the difference between green and red hues but that doesn’t mean that they are bad players or that they are not as hardcore as most of you. Capcom is ashamed and wants to forget that awful PC port of Resident Evil 4

Wow, now this is something interesting. We’ve known for a fact that the PC port of Resident Evil 4 was awful, since its development was outsourced to Sourcenext, but it’s shocking to hear that Capcom is so ashamed of it, that they’d prefer to simply forget about it and not make it available to any digital stores. Yes, Resident Evil 4 was one of the worst ports we’ve ever seen and in par with Sourcenext’s other PC ports, like Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Onimusha 3: Demon Siege, but we certainly didn’t expect that reaction from Capcom. Brand new Mari0 Beta footage shows off ‘bullet-time’ effect

It’s been a while since the last video of Mari0, the amazing mashup between Portal and Super Mario Bros. Luckily for you, YouTube’s member ‘Raicuparta’ captured some new footage, showing off the ‘bullet time’ effect that is available in the latest beta build of the game. Mari0 is a complete from scratch recreation of Super Mario Bros. with Mario having a portal gun. And if that wasn’t crazy enough, gamers can play simultaneously with as many friends as they can connect joypads to their PC, with everyone having their own Portal gun. GTA IV iCEnhancer 2.0 Final is coming this week and will be compatible with versions 1070/EFLC

A lot of you have been waiting patiently for GTA IV’s iCEnhancer 2.0 Final release and some of you were disappointed when you found out that this highly anticipated mod got slightly delayed. Well, here is some good news for you as Hayssam Keilany, creator of iCEnhancer, revealed that he’s currently planning to release his mod before the 12th of February. New drooling community screenshots for Project CARS

Even though Slightly Mad Studios released some screenshots to show off the ‘Ultra detail’ of Project CARS’ latest build, its community went ahead and captured their own images. As usual, the community screenshots are miles better than the official ones and show off better the new, Ultra detail settings. And although Project CARS looks amazing, we have to admit that the trees need a little more polish. Thankfully, Slightly Mad Studios promised to further enhance the environments in the upcoming versions of the game. But for now, enjoy the following screenshots! ArmA 3 was highly hyped some months ago and then we suddenly lost track of it. It seems that Bohemia decided to focus on its helicopter sim and as a result of that, ArmA 3 was left in the dark. New, lovely fan trailer for Cube World

I tell you, I can keep watching to this trailer for hours. Hell, I can keep watching someone playing Cube World all day as Wollay’s indie title is simply wonderful. Seriously, each and every new footage from it gets me excited and this could very well be the ‘Minecraft’ of 2012… provided it gets exposed to even more gamers.
