Wolfire Games has released a new video, in which the company’s main programmer shows off the changes that were made to the latest alpha version of Overgrowth.This week, David Rosen has added some more features to the detail objects and as a result of that, rocks and grass look better than before. Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [February 5th – 11th]

This week’s UK PC Charts have just been unveiled and at last everyone, we can notice a – subtle – wind of change. It seems though that nothing can top SEGA’s Football Manager 2012, although Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has managed to be placed at the second place. Star Wars: The Old Republic, Skyrim and Battlefield 3 have lost some places and The Darkness II can be spotted at the eighth place. We do know that a lot of gamers have been dreaming for a crossover between Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Ed Boon has expressed his desire for something like that, as well as Yoshinori Ono. Although something like that is quite difficult due to MK’s fatalities and general brutality – and the fact that most SF characters are not as agressive as those of MK – there is still hope. Sounds of Skyrim is a must-have mod that overhauls… Skyrim’s sound

Okay, Skyrim looks great with mods but what about its sound? Well, great news for everyone as ‘Sounds of Skyrim’ is a promising sound overhaul for Skyrim that adds around 460 new sound effects to enhance your audio experience. The additions cover the game’s three areas (The Wilds, The Dungeons and Civilization) along with special sounds tied to certain quests and events. Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [February 5th – 11th]

Each and every week, we are bringing you shots from mods that are under development for Crysis 2. And even though Crysis 2 did not show off CryEngine 3’s capabilities, these upcoming mods prove that Crytek’s engine is ideal for a variety of games. Seriously now, more developers should license this engine and we were delighted to find out, earlier this week, that Warhorse Studios’ upcoming game would be powered by it.
