Starbreeze has revealed at GDC that they’ll be going free-to-play with a new title, called Cold Mercury. Although we don’t have any more information about it, we do know that Starbreeze will not abandon the AAA segment and given its free-to-play nature, we can safely assume that this game will hit the PC first. A lot of GTA fans believe that the third part (and first full 3D game of the series) was the best. Naturally, most of them wanted to experience it with better graphics and thankfully there are currently two projects that aim to offer just that. The first one is called GTA III RAGE and has been in development since July 2011. The second one is a brand new project that may look similar to GTA III RAGE, but it’s a completely different approach from a different modder (and features a mix between Liberty City Stories and GTA III). Now here is a nice surprise. The UK PC Retail and Steam PC Digital charts have just been revealed and as we can see, Total War: Shogun 2 Fall of the Samurai and Portal 2 are at the top of them. SEGA’s and The Creative Assembly’s standalone expansion of Shogun 2 is at the top of the UK PC Retail charts, followed by The Sims 3: Showtime. Star Wars: The Old Republic gained a place this week, while Football Manager 2012 and Mass Effect 3 lost some places. Skyrim is still at the sixth place, whereas the Ultimate Edition of Fallout New Vegas has managed to re-enter the charts and is at the tenth place. Arkane Studios is one of the few that are pushing the stealth – and melee – gameplay elements to their games. It’s been a while since we got Deus Ex: Human Revolution, a game that offered a variety of gameplay mechanics and thankfully, Dishonored seems to be the next big thing for all those seeking a game with varied gameplay. Man, the changelog of The Witcher 2’s enhanced edition seems to be really long. Yesterday, CD Project RED released its first part and today we got the second one. In total, there are 100 fixes, additions, improvements and tweaks for the PC version of The Witcher 2 that will be included in this upcoming update. DarthMod Productions have released a new version of their amazing and realistic mod for Total War: Shogun 2, DarthMod. DarthMod is a mod that features realistic movements, more realistic ballistics, more chaotic and realistic melee mechanics and improved BAI and CAI. To put it simple, DarthMod’s main scope is to destroy the “weak” arcade factors and replace them with realistic features. Some interesting GTA V details got leaked yesterday and as with every major leak, we’d advise you to take the following with a grain of salt.
