Now that’s a really smart move. Relic has just made available the E3 Single Player Demo mission to the game’s open beta phase. This means that everyone who downloads the open beta client (via Steam) can play the demo that was featured at this year’s E3. Congrats to Relic for offering gamers the ability to play what others did during the biggest gaming event, and we hope that more developers will start offering this kind of things (especially now when game demos are a rarity). MaximumPC has also captured the gameplay walkthrough demo of Splinter Cell: Blacklist PC that was showcased during Nvidia’s E3 press event, and the first thing you will immediately notice is its smoothness. We don’t know the specs of the PC that was used to demo Splinter Cell: Blacklist, however we do know that the game will take advantage of the DX11 API. As you already know, Nvidia showcased CD Projekt RED’s upcoming The Witcher game during its E3 press conference. MaximumPC was able to capture a video that showcased most – if not all – of the new graphical settings that will be supported by The Witcher 3, and you can view the video below. The Witcher 3 will support a new renderer, bloom shafts, aerial perspective fog, volume based translucency, semi volumetric clouds, fur simulation (via Nvidia’s PhysX), flexible water simulation (as well as tessellated water), forward lit soft particles, screen space decals and real-time reflections. IGN has just posted a dev walkthrough for Red Barrels upcoming survival horror title, Outlast. Outlast seems able to challenge A Machine For Pigs, so it will be interesting to see which one of them will be the best PC horror title of 2013. Outlast is currently planned for a 2013 release on the PC, and will be then coming to PS4 in 2014. That is unless Red Barrels decides to delay the PC version. Well, we all knew this was going to happen. Battlefield 4 looks interesting, however it will follow BF3’s route. In other words, expect a lot of DLC packs, a Season Pass, and no modding tools. The later was confirmed by DICE general manager, Karl-Magnus Troedsson, who told PCGamer that DICE will not release any SDK for its upcoming shooter. Ubisoft has released a new update for the PC version of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. According to its changelog, this patch adds some new settings in video.scr file, displays extra directional arrows next to action keys during Quick Time Events sequences when played on mouse/keyboard and allows quick access to users’ profiles directly from any leaderboard menu.
