Despite controversy, Denuvo has effectively protected a lot of PC games from being pirated/cracked
A lot has been said about Denuvo. A number of gamers claimed that their SSDs broke down due to this anti-tamper tech, and that some games suffered from performance issues due to it. However – and since we’ve tested a lot of games that are powered by Denuvo – we can safely say that those rumours were not legit at all. Not only that, but it appears that Denuvo is doing a great job at preventing pirates and scene groups from pirating/cracking PC games. Remedy has released a new patch for the PC version of Quantum Break. AMD’s senior vice president and chief architect, Raja Koduri, has officially announced the Radeon RX480. The AMD Radeon RX480 will be priced at $199 and will be available on June 29th, will sport over 5TFLOPS, features 36 CUs, offers 256GB/sec memory bandwidth, will come in two models (4GB and 8GB) and will be at 150W TDP. DOOM surpasses 500K sales on the PC
It appears that DOOM is doing well on the PC as id Software’s title has sold 500K units so far. This information comes from Steamspy; a Steam stats service based on Web API provided by Valve. Steamspy’s numbers are slightly delayed – if Total War: WARHAMMER’s stats are anything to go by – so we can safely assume that DOOM did sell 500K units on the PC.
