Now here is a pleasant surprise. GOG has announced that the 2005 version of Star Wars: Battlefront 2, the critically acclaimed shooter of massively entertaining warfare, has received a critical update. This update restores multiplayer functionalities and allows cross-play between the GOG and the Steam versions.

Electronic Arts and DICE have released a new trailer dedicated to Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s upcoming open beta phase. The open beta phase will begin on October 6th and will last until October 9th. As its name suggests, it will be open to everyone.
Hawken’s Steam servers are being shut down, game to be removed from Steam on January 2nd

Hawken Entertainment has announced that it is shutting down the Steam servers for Hawken in order to refocus its development efforts. The game’s DLCs will be removed today from Steam, and the game itself will be removed from Steam on January 2nd, 2018.
Nioh: Complete Edition is coming to the PC on November 7th, official PC requirements

KOEI Tecmo has just announced that Nioh will be coming to the PC on November 7th. The PC will receive the Complete Edition (that will include the base game alongside the three DLCs that have been released).

Total War: WARHAMMER 2 – PC Performance Analysis

Total War: WARHAMMER was a strategy game that really disappointed us with its underwhelming performance in DX12 back in 2016. Naturally, we were expecting better things from its successor, however it appears that the game suffers from both single-thread CPU issues, as well as underwhelming DX12 performance on both NVIDIA’s and AMD’s graphics cards.

Call of Duty: WWII may feature better mouse & rendering performance at launch

Call of Duty: WWII’s PC open beta phase ends tomorrow and Sledgehammer Games has revealed some of the features it’s currently working on. According to the team, the final PC version of Call of Duty: WWII may come with mouse and rendering performance improvements, as well as FOV enhancements.
