CryZENx has released a brand new demo for his amazing fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5.7.4. So, if you are a die-hard Zelda fan, I highly recommend downloading it and trying it.
This new tech demo focuses on the “Inside Jabu-Jabu’s Belly” quest. This quest takes Link inside the fishlike beast known as Jabu-Jabu. Players will be able to explore the insides of the beast and fight some enemies. They will also be able to fight a boss at the end of it.
As I’ve said before, this is one of the best fan remakes. Contrary to most we’ve shared, this one has proper gameplay mechanics. Some may not like the artistic direction of this remake. However, it’s pretty impressive what CryZENx has been able to create during these past years.
Since the demo uses UE5.7.4, it should run better than the previous demos. Unreal Engine 5.7.4 has brought numerous improvements to Lumen and Ray Tracing. It also packed a number of CPU optimizations. So, in a way, you can get a taste of what this new version of UE5 can offer. However, this fan tech demo is not 100% representative of what UE5.7 is capable of. So, make sure to keep that in mind.
To get the best possible Ocarina of Time UE5 experience, I recommend downloading the other tech demos that CryZENx has released. These demos recreate different areas from the game, offering a broader look at the project. From what I’ve seen, most, if not all, of them are still available for download. You can find links to them here.
You can go ahead and download the demo from this link. Do note that this demo is locked at 30FPS. Thankfully, it supports both DLSS and FSR, and it has an option to disable Motion Blur. There is also a 60FPS demo, but it is locked behind a Patreon wall.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, I recommend trying out these other free fan-made demos. You can grab a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 Demo. There’s also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic’s engine. For Mario fans, we have this cool Super Mario Galaxy Tech Demo in Unreal Engine 5.
And that’s not all. There is a cool remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Halo level in UE5 that you can download. Or how about this free Attack on Titan game? Then we have the fan remakes for Dino Crisis 2, Super Mario Galaxy, and MediEvil 2. Plus, there is an amazing fan remake of Sonic Adventure 2, called Sonic Adventure 2 Redux. Oh, and let’s not forget the amazing ports of Skyrim and Oblivion.
Owners of high-end GPUs can also try these three tech demos. The first one features a Witcher-like environment. The second shows off a Rome Italian Town. The third is the Venice Tech Demo we shared a few days ago. We also have a demo of King’s Field 2 in UE5, as well as a remake of Konami’s canceled PT. Finally, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5, a remake of Flappy Bird, a demo for Need for Speed: Underground 2, and a Diablo 2 Remake Demo. They all look awesome, so be sure to give them a try.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
