Modder ‘Alucard’ has released a new version of NEW DAWN Redux, a modlist that has over 1800 mods that aim to overhaul Skyrim into a modern RPG. This modlist is a must-have for those who don’t want to mess around with all the different mods that have come out for Skyrim. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
NEW DAWN Redux adds dynamic, skill-based combat inspired by titles like Dark Souls and For Honor, featuring advanced physics and collision. It also full reworks animations in both first and third person, adding weight, realism, and impact to every action.
NEW DAWN Redux adds numerous DLC-sized fan expansions. For instance, you’ll get major mods like Vigilant, Unslaad, Glenmoril, Falskaar, and more. Moreover, it packs improvements to dialogue, NPCs, economy, exploration, and world behavior.
And that’s not all. NEW DAWN Redux adds a deep RPG system, with expanded perks, reworked magic, and meaningful progression. It also integrates Frame Generation for better stability and higher frame rates.
Version 1.2 adds new male and female face presets, along with new combat abilities. You will also get new camera presets, creatures, and new mechanics. Plus, it introduces several new followers, including Dagoth, Ciri, Geralt, Yennefer, Remiel, Ashe, and Sofia.
All in all, this is a great modlist for those who want to download only one file and be done with it. If you are one of them, you can download NEW DAWN Redux from this link.
Now, if you don’t want to use this modlist, you can try these other mods. Let’s start with some big fan expansions that add new free content to the game. The first one is Wyrmstooth. Wyrmstooth will add new quests and dungeons to the game. Then there is this mod, which brings elements from The Witcher games into Skyrim. Dragon Hall Tavern is a huge 2GB mod that adds quests, new places, an arena, and more. Then there’s Land of Vominhem, Apotheosis, and Legacy of the Dragonborn.
Don’t forget to also check out this Castlevania-inspired mod. Modders have also recreated the classic PSX game, MediEvil, in Skyrim. Shumer and the Priest Kings is another DLC fan expansion mod with over 200 locations and 180+ quests. You can also download these Call of Duty and World of Warcraft mods. Oh, and here is another one that adds the cool Nemesis system from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor to it. Lastly, we have this mod that adds six new islands to explore.
And that’s not all. Skyrim has other mods that add lots of cool stuff.
For instance, this mod allows you to destroy a lot of objects. You can also download this mod that makes the NPCs smarter. With this mod, NPCs will now have a dynamic AI system, and they’ll seek cover. Let’s also not forget this mod that adds a dynamic sanity system. SkyPal is another must-have mod. This mod brings Skyrim and Pokemon together, allowing you to become a Beastmaster.
Last month, we shared a mod that added support for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 4.0 Redstone. Unfortunately, this is a paid mod. Thankfully, though, Community Shaders adds support for DLSS 4, XeSS, and FSR. These are free to everyone.
Then we have this mod that adds a real-time dismemberment system. There is also a 112GB Mod that remasters all 32,000 textures to 8K.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
