Light at the End of the Tunnel Mod for Fallout New Vegas

New Fallout: New Vegas Mod Adds a Medium-Sized Fan Expansion Quest

Modder ‘LuptonStewart’ has released a new medium-sized fan expansion quest mod for Fallout: New Vegas, called Light at the End of the Tunnel. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

Light at the End of the Tunnel centers around a group of escaped slaves who need the player’s help. The mod comes with 7 main characters and +2000 lines of voiced dialogue. Moreover, it includes different endings depending on your actions as a player.

As the modder noted, there are three parts to this mod and all of them are dialogue-focused. The mod does not include any major dungeons, but comes with two potential combat encounters. On an initial playthrough, it should take about 2 hours to complete it. It may take longer to complete if you go out of your way to fully interact with all the characters.

The main option to start the quest mod is to simply enter the ‘Old Train Tunnel’ south of Ranger Station Charlie. The entrance to this tunnel is in the vanilla game.

As I said, this is a medium-sized mod. So, make sure to temper your expectations. Still, this is a free mod that adds new free content to the game. Thus, I suggest giving it a go.

You can go ahead and download the mod from this link.

If you are into Fallout: New Vegas, you can also try these other mods for it. For instance, this mod adds real-time reflections. Another one changes over 1,000 functions to make the game run smoother. Plus, there’s a mod to make the game’s characters even smarter. Another must-have mod is this one, which improves collision accuracy and fixes/optimizes meshes.

In June 2024, we shared a mod that brought some STALKER-like anomalies to the game. Moreover, you can get this mod that adds physically-based vehicles to the game. And if you love quests, there’s a mod that gives you an endless supply of new ones. Let’s also not forget the Visuals Improved Content Expanded Mod. There are also some cool fan-made expansions for New Vegas. Three of them are being made as we speak. These are Fallout: Broken CityFallout: Nuevo Mexico, and Star Wars Open Worlds.
