Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has also become the top-selling Ubisoft PC launch ever, driven by all-time record Ubisoft Store sales performance. In addition, the team revealed that the game has sold through more units in its first week than any other Assassin’s Creed game sold during the same period.
Julien Laferrière, producer on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, said:
“We are truly delighted by the enthusiastic response from players and want to thank the fans for their incredible support. Delivering this game amid a global pandemic was a true tour de force by our teams and it’s fantastic to see players enjoying the game so much. Launch is only the beginning and we have robust content plans for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. These plans will keep players immersed in their epic Viking saga for a long time to come.”
This falls in line with what Ubisoft stated last week about AC: Valhalla. As the company noted, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla had twice the number of active players than Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
As we’ve already reported, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla currently requires high-end GPUs, and cannot scale well on weaker GPUs. Not only that, but the performance difference between High and Ultra settings is only 11%. Thus, let’s hope that Ubisoft will further optimize this game on the PC. After all, the game already sold great on the PC so we should be at least receiving a performance patch… right?

Well I’m enjoying it the world is far more interesting this time and it plays well, However, the animations still need a lot of work as does the combat. Also go up a few levels in difficulty because it is a bit too easy once you start getting the hang of things.
It also runs really well on my rig which is not the best, not sure what you guys are moaning about the performance for. The game does see to need fast memory though as it improved my fps a lot and removed all stutter.

As a person who worked in the marketing, I can say that they stated that because the exact opposite happened, meaning that sales are less than expected, well how do they improve it? The first thing they have to do is to announce that the sales are increasing! and everyone is buying the game to create a FoMO situation for those who are hesitant to buy it. the second thing is to get the game into a sale.

Interesting for a game rife with glitches, performance problems, audio desynchs, embarrassingly outdated graphics, Dark Souls 1- era poor lighting, no option to control system HDR setting from within the game meaning you have to turn on HDR in Windows first, even though plenty of other games let you do it, laughably simplistic combat that’s embarrassing from a company that just released AC Odyssey 2 years ago which has a ton of variety in its very fluid combat, horrible character models and textures, and the return of some of the absolute worst elements of previous AC games like:
– areas completely inaccessible “not available in current memory”
– suspicion zones
– fall damage
– health packs
– chasing down floating pieces of paper
