CD Projekt RED has released a new set of beautiful screenshots for Cyberpunk 2077. These screenshots showcase Night City, and will give you an idea of the different areas that you will be able to explore.
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of 2020. The game was originally meant to come out in April 2020. However, CD Projekt RED had delayed it to September 2020 and then to November 2020.
Since the game will support Ray Tracing and DLSS 2.0, it will be interesting to see the performance difference between the Turing and the Ampere GPUs.
Furthermore, CD Projekt RED re-affirmed that the game will not feature any microtransactions. However, its multiplayer mode – which will be a separate game – will feature some microtransactions.
Lastly, Cyberpunk 2077 will be a DX12-only game and will put a lot of emphasis on environmental destruction. You can also find the game’s official PC system requirements here.

With the environments being that detailed i feel the character models stand out as being dated. Seeing those plastic figures walking around is sorta distracting.
Though it is definitly the best looking open world game to date. Im curious how it will run on my machine with a regular 2070 since i dont think ill be able to get 3080 any time soon.
it’s a matter of taste I think, in my opinion this is by far one of the least impressive open-world titles to date, and it hasn’t even come out yet

there’s a clear sky and skyscrapers, the facade of the city looks entirely too utopian whereas in BR everything screams dystopia! air pollution, the constant downpour, a sky with no sun that looks more like a ceiling, the very gloom of it all

I really hope this game looks better when running on PC, because while a few of these shots were great, most were not as high detail as they should be. I guess that’s a consequence of the 7 year long development time and trying to push it out on ps4/xone.

the NPC’s faces seem to have been set to a default expression that looks very realistic but once they talk the immersion is immediately lost and they just seem really weird

Why they shouldn’t even mention it? Of course Blade Runner had a big influence over CDPR developers and Pondsmith. It was such a groundbreaking movie, so many other futuristic movies and games were inspired by it.
But it was always obvious to me that Cyberpunk 2077 was going to be very different from BR. Somebody expected another BR? Well, they should blame themselves for their disappointment.
Just saying…if you say that your main inspiration for the game is Blade Runner (that comes from the author of the IP and the director of the game) dont blame people for expecting Blade Runner vibes from said game…specially when is so present in what your average Joe thinks represents Cyberpunk (and the game aims towards those people, the ones that played the original pen and paper already can see how much of a departure this game is).
I would personally recommend Observer or Hard Reset if you want something closer to Blade Runner (aesthetic wise) over CP77.

No surprise here, not at all. Just like, for instance, all movies based on books or games. They always depart from the original source.
Edit. And for a good reason, they are very different types of media. Like pen and paper RPGs and video game RPGs, two very different media.
Not in the case of The Witcher, is weird coming from CDPR (but we are talking about a different CDPR after all) since they did a good job adapting the world and characters of the Witcher from the books to the games (at the point that i’ll consider them proper fanfic sequels), even without the original creator help, which is the opposite in the case of CP77 (and it is a sequel after all), let’s not try to justify everything just because.
