You can now get The Witcher 3 for free on GOG if you already own it on other platforms

Now here is something that may interest some of our readers. GOG is currently giving away free copies of The Witcher 3 in case you already own it on different/other platforms.

What this basically means is that you can get a DRM-free copy of The Witcher 3 if you own the game on Steam. And… well… we all know that PC gamers love DRM-free games.

Furthermore, you can get a free copy of the GOG version if you already own the game on consoles. All you have to do is link your PSN or Xbox account to GOG Galaxy 2.0. If you already own the game, you’ll be then given a free GOG code.

Additionally, if you already own the GOG version, you can get a gift code. Once acquired, you can then send this gift code to any of your friends.

Lastly, you can get the base game or the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition, depending on what you already own on other gaming platforms.

Do note that this is a limited offer. According to GOG, this offer will end in seven days, so be sure to acquire your free code as soon as possible.

After acquiring your free code, you may be interested in some mods for this game. The Witcher 3 ReduxThe Witcher 3 HD Reworked, The Witcher 3 E3 2014 Gameplay Mod, and this AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack are the ones we recommend using.

Enjoy!

  1. all stores should do this with all games. There is no point for me to buy the game 2nd time digitally. Looking especially to you Origin -> after you launced most games to steam.

  2. trash game, trash devs. i’d say go get witcher 1 or 2 instead but cd projekt red is one of the worst video game developers of all time with a mask and a sheep community.

  3. Guys, could someone please send me a gift code? I’ve always wanted to play this game, but I really have a lot of financial difficulties, to allow myself to spend money on games!
Unfortunately I have other serious expenses …. I could pirate it, but I will never install cracked games on my PC …. my email is erlibanese167@outlook.it
    THANKS

      1. We are not in the 90’s anymore, pirated software is safe nowadays (i would argue that you have way more advantages over legit, unless you care for online features…you actually have control and ownership over the files)…unless you are really looking for a virus. Just pirate it instead of begging like a peasant.

        1. Fuc## off man! your speech makes no sense! video game developers are workers like everyone else …. and deserve to be paid! if you are a pirate, it doesn’t have to be others too ….. buy the f*king games! if you do a job do you want to be paid or not? you and many others in this chat are thieves ….. I am NOT!

    1. Go and pirate, beggar. If you have PC that can run Witcher 3 then you can find $7-10 for the game on sale.

      1. I guess the GOTY version doesn’t cost $ 7 at all … btw, if someone has one more copy, I prefer to ask rather than pirate it

    2. Dude, if you really have “a lot of financial difficulties”, playing video games is the last thing you should employ your time with.

      Not working?

  5. a) To get it for free, you need to install GOG Galaxy 2.0 first.
    b) Then, link your steam/origin/uplay,etc, to GOG Galaxy.
    c) Then, GOG Galaxy will get all your platforms account logins/mails/passwords.
    d) So, can you imagine if a security breach happens into GOG Galaxy, and millions of account logins goes to some shady hackers?
Conclusion; Avoid it with all costs. and take a look there too:

    1. I don’t think you understand how account integration works. All it does is allow linking one account ID to another via a token system, nobody has access to your “logins/mails/passwords” just because you link the two. If you’re using the community integrations you can also check the source code (since they’re required to be open source) for malicious code.
If you actually read the reddit post you’d linked you would understand that.

  6. amazing game but geralt repetitive same combat (left mouse button keep smashing) & player movement is all the way clunky as hell
