Railsimulator.com has released the launch trailer of Train Simulator 2014 that is narrated by fans favourite Eddard ‘Ned’ Stark (Game Of Thrones) and Boromir (LOTR), Sean Bean. Of course the game may not be up to what PC gamers can expect from a 2013 title, but then again Train Simulator always targeted a specific niche. Codemasters has released a new trailer for its upcoming F1 Formula racing game, F1 2013, featuring Emerson Fittipaldi’s hotlap at the Brands Hatch circuit in 1986. F1 2013 aims to give FORMULA 1 fans the chance to compete against legendary drivers in cars from different eras of FORMULA ONE with a range of classic content from the 1980s. Square Enix today released a new video for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in which Lightning, the heroine of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII descends upon the realm of Eorzea. She appears in one of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn’s Full Active Time Events (FATE), a periodic battle that will allow players to fight alongside Lightning. Upon completing this event successfully, players can receive gear and weaponry modeled after those found in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. DICE’s Johan Andersson revealed today that AMD and DICE are working on a low-level high-performance graphics API for Radeon cards, called Mantle. According to AMD, Mantle offers up to 9X more draw calls per second than other APIs by reducing CPU overhead. This is crucial as according to Johan, this API will be able to finally offer PC gamers proper multi-tasking scaling on the CPU without the need to handle all the background draw calls that the original, old model, requires.
