Digital Dreams has shared a new video, showcasing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt running on an NVIDIA RTX 3090 in 8K with 50+ mods. Digital Dreams has also used the Immersive Lighting 2.0 Mod in order to enhance the game’s lighting.
Unfortunately, the YouTuber did not share his settings or the framerate. We can assume that The Witcher 3 was running at Ultra settings. As for the framerate… well… that’s a bit harder to determine. From the looks of it, though, the game appears to be playable in such ridiculously high resolutions.
You can find and download the list of mods from here. You can also download the Immersive Lighting 2.0 Mod from here.
Speaking of The Witcher 3, we also suggest taking a look at the following mods. As we’ve said numerous times, The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project is one of the best HD Texture Packs for CDPR’s RPG. HDAR – HD Animals Reworked Mod, Humans of the Continent 4K-2K Textures and the Witcher 2 Overhaul Mod are also some cool mods. And then there are Shades of Iron, True Fires Mod, and a mod that adds a new standalone quest. Theoretically, speaking, these mods should be compatible with the majority of the mods that Digital Dreams used.
Enjoy!

50 mods, thats noob stuff, try installing 200 mods for new vegas. Speaking of which someone needs to make a mod that installs a ton of mods at once with one download or something so you dont have to do it manually, like that morrowind graphics mod that no one uses anymore because of how outdated it is.
Sadly due to permissions no one is making mod packs like that, unless someone knows some other sites aside from nexus that one may acquire such mod packs.
That would be something…
50 mods is much better than nothing like playing on fkg console.
50? 200? Noob numbers! My current Skyrim SE install is running over 1320 mods!
i take it skyrim doesnt have a esp limit?
It does but with SE you can flag many ESPs as ESLs to get around it but you have to be careful because an ESL loads different than a ESP necessitating patches where you can’t just change the load order ….
ESL-flagged ESPs, aka ESPFEs, are the saviour.
I’m still using that Morrowind pack you’re talking about, don’t care if it’s outdated since you can finish the game without major bugs and it’s still better than the vanilla game, sure manually modding it should provide better results but time is priceless
it runs like crap crashes all the time, it has missing tables and some items in the expansion dont spawn in chests that are needed to finish the game.
I never crashed and finished finished the main game, don’t know for the expansions though, i guess you can use workarounds for these issues like console commands or something
“i never crashed” no way dude.
Well i can assure you this never happened, believe it or not, the only Bethesda game that crashed often in my playthrough is FONV
if you mod new vegas heavily and not carefully its gonna crash. Although new vegas anti crash and other tools make it really stable.
Yep, this was years ago, i think there are more efficient fan patches now, i’ll give it a retry someday, love this game, if only it had half the attention and time FO3 got…
yeah its extremely stable now.
Check wabbajack, it appears to go in that direction.
is that the one you need a premium nexus account?
Imagine playing Morrowing instead of OpenMW, if people helped more this open project we could have something similar for New Vegas in the future, and that could mean multiplayer and almost anything you can imagine since the game is free software except for the assets.
there is a mp for new vegas.
Lol if people helped more, they even found a way to remove the esp limit bug.
This game with 54 mods I used looks much better than Skyrim with the 382 mods I used for it. Part of the reason is mods like the HD Reworked Project are pretty comprehensive and you’d need 100 mods in Skyrim to cover the same amount of textures with the same level of quality. Another mod I used that covers gameplay is like 25 mods wrapped into one with a comprehensive interface for all the settings.
The total number of Mods is not what is relevant, it’s what the mods entail in total
Nothing special, but my 8600k not played this video in 8K on Firefox 😀
firefox sucks get a chrome based browser, vivaldi, opera, brave to name a few.
Or you can play with 100+ mods and 4k, same thing, really.
Currently playing this with over 210 mods. Phoenix Lighting, True Fires, and the HD terrain mods alone are enough to make it look like a new game.
there are 210 mods for witcher 3? Damn.
Way more than that for Witcher 3. I only hand-picked the ones I liked.
Its gonna be the same for Cyberpunk, I believe. Why I’m in no hurry to even get it yet.
doesnt cyberpunk not have modding tools or something?
Also cybermess 2077 keeps getting 30gb updates and its still a mess and its short, no reason to paly it until all dlcs are out and its patched and has ton of mods.
Totally agree. Why i got about 4-5 games to play before I even get CP. And I’ll be sure to check the status again before buying.
And yea, I think there’s some basic mods on Nexus for it. Nothing significant though.
at this rate you gonna play them all and the game will still get another garbage update without fixing sht,
Are there any mods that fix the crappy antialiasing? A lot of complex places like in town have shimmering lines that can’t be gotten rid of in any way. Driver tweaks don’t work, nvidia super resolution is beyond broken and makes everything blurry, reshade SMAA and FXAA is also garbage.
You have to go into the config file for the game and set TextureMip to “0” in order for the shimmering to go away. Ultra settings enable that setting which causes shimmering, that’s why you see less aliasing in Witcher 3 if you play on lower settings.
Edited!
There are tons of settings in the Nvidia config that will screw up W3. I don’t have any of the proprietary stuff on. I use the ‘Tweaks’ mod, which puts most of the game settings you can only change via the user file, into the in game options – video settings. Any shimmering I see I try tweaking the “Sharpening” setting under Post Processing, as well as the Mip settings under Graphics. Though the only shimmering I’ve had to deal with is in extreme grass settings (tho I suspect its to do with my lighting mod). Also depends how good a GPU you got. I’m using a 2080 Super in this play thru.
Slow day, huh. There’s nothing worthwhile about this “Immersive lighting” mod. Looks basically like vanilla and nowhere near E3 2014 lighting.
Excatly! I thought they would be featured and not that excuse for a lighting mod.
On that note I agree.
Even I’d look amazing with a 3090 @8k with 50 mods.
The video looks blurry as hell even on 4k … wtf
Having only a couple of mods is enough.
Reworked Project v12, HD Monsters / Animals Reworked mod, some lighting mod (there are hundreds, just pick your favorite), and voilà.
yeah but i played it already don’t wanna play it again. if for new players then makes sense
this game is pure doodoo. only autistic pedpophiles like it.
I just did a 2K playthrough of the game using most of these mods and damn if it didn’t look as good as anything released in 2020. I only did it to refamiliarize myself with the game after 2 1/2 years because I’m planning on doing a recorded full playthrough of the game for my YouTube channel when the “Next Gen” version of the game releases in a couple of months (Hopefully we’ll get a release date at WitcherCon July 9)
They really need to hit this out of the ballpark and get their reputation back, I can’t think of one aspect other than graphics that Cyberpunk does better and if they put their hearts into the upgrade it could beat Cyberpunk there also
only f4ggots play witcher 3. f4ggot a*s game.
If only we have a 8k monitor…no fps displayed bravo.
Gotta live how moders really extend the life of good games
Glowie. We see you.
Have we not had enough of The Witcher 3 mods?
What do you get paid to write this? I could drum up a handful of words on an unimpressive article regarding an 8K resolution and then, in order to show off what my sh*t article is discussing, link to a highly compressed 1080 youtube which looks awful and blurry for 1080. Nice.
This looks horrendous. That YT channel is notorious for just exaggerating the crap out of reshare effects and pretending it looks good.
Doesn’t look amazing at all. Looks dark, grim and depressing to me. And still looks like a 6 years old game.
