Valve received almost 300K refund requests during the first day of its Steam Summer Sale

Valve launch its 2017 Steam Summer Sale on June 26th and according to its official stats, the company received 300K refund requests. And to be honest, this was to be expected. Valve insider: “The idea of delivering a third episode of Half-Life 2, that’s dead. There’s no universe where that will happen.”

Last week, we informed you about some ideas that Valve had for Half-Life 3. And while this new information may have sparked – once again – the interest for a third episode of Half-Life 2, a Valve insider claimed that Half-Life 2: Episode Three is never going to happen, and that it’s dead. Half-Life 3 was a “hot mess”, had lots of prototypes (including an RTS and an adventure action game)

It’s almost a given by now that we won’t be getting Half-Life 3… ever. Still, this doesn’t mean that Valve wasn’t working on such a game.
