Activision has released ten new screenshots from the MP mode of Black Ops 2. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is developed by Treyarch and will feature, among other things, a Zombie MP mode. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set in the year 2025 and propels players into global conflict featuring advanced weaponry, robotics, and drone warfare in a new Cold War scenario whose seeds are being sown in today’s headlines. The game will feature a new game engine and will not support DX9. According to the team, DX11 has been used for performance purposes, meaning that Black Ops 2 will run – and will look – better than its predecessor. Black Ops 2 is slated for a November 13rd release. As promised, Activision has released the Zombies trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. As the title suggests, Black Ops 2 will feature a Zombies MP mode. The publisher did not provide any further details about this mode, but we bet that most Call of Duty players will be delighted to know that such mode will be supported in Black Ops 2. Earlier this week, the official map list of Black Ops 2 got leaked online. And today, TheTechGame’s member Errorjack has managed to capture the first screenshots from those maps. As we can see, these maps seem to have been leaked from an internal beta phase that is currently in full swing. Activision and Treyarch have revealed some new details about Black Ops 2 PC, as well as the game’s minimum system requirements. According to the developers, Black Ops 2 has moved on to the DX11 API (that is backward compatible with DX10) and won’t support both DX9 cards and Windows XP. This is really shocking as Black Ops 2 does not sport next-generation graphics. In fact, it looks mediocre, even for multi-platform titles standards. The developers went ahead and explained their decision to move on to DX11, stating that Microsoft’s new API is leaner than DX9 and requires less CPU time to do the same amount of work. Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar teased a new trailer for Black Ops 2 on his Facebook account. Vonderhaar uploaded the following image, which pretty much shows the square box that appears in – pretty much – every video game trailer. Our guess is that this might be the GamesCom trailer for Black Ops 2. Rumor has it that this trailer might have something to do with the zombies that will be featured in the MP mode of Black Ops 2.
