Nightdive Studios has released a new pre-alpha trailer, revealing that its upcoming remake of System Shock will be powered by Unreal Engine 4. This new trailer shows crisp visuals, so it’s unknown whether there will be an option to disable texture filtering and give the textures a retro look (as they were in its early demo). System Shock – Demo lacks extensive optimizations, switch to Unreal Engine could happen

Neogaf’s member ‘MaxOfS2D’ (who is currently working on the remastered version of System Shock) has just revealed some new interesting information about it. According to MaxOfS2D, the demo lacked extensive optimizations as it was developed by a small team of 4 core people and one programmer. System Shock – Official PC System Requirements Revealed – 8GB RAM Minimum, DX11-Only

Night Dive Studios has revealed the official PC requirements for the upcoming remastered version of System Shock. And let us tell you that these specs will surprise you. According to the team, PC gamers will need at least a modern-day quad-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better. Polygon has released a video, showcasing almost 9 minutes of gameplay footage from the remastered version of System Shock. System Shock will be powered by the Unity Engine and Night Dive Studios aims to create a new game true to the classic experience, ‘keeping all the things you loved, while updating the user interface and graphics to use a modern day engine.’ Enjoy!
