Alien: Isolation – Lost Contact DLC Now Available
SEGA announced today that ‘Lost Contact’, Alien: Isolation’s fourth add-on pack, is available to download from today. According to the press release, ‘Lost Contact’ adds a new Salvage Challenge to the game’s Survivor Mode, pitting players against a series of 10 challenges in a new map featuring some of the game’s toughest enemies. New Toejam & Earl Game Under Development
Any DSO reader who had a SEGA Mega Drive or Genesis (depending on your territory) might remember the classic Toejam and Earl, released in the early 90’s for SEGA’s most successful outing in the hardware business. The game later had two sequels, though response was mixed to both and the third entry, an Xbox exclusive originally intended for SEGA’s Dreamcast, seemed to arrive to very little fanfare. Alien: Isolation’s Engine Supports Up To A Million Particles Via Computer Shaders
In a new video interview – shared by AMD – The Creative Assembly’s developers shared some new information about the engine powering the latest Alien game. Michael Bailey, Alien: Isolation’s Lead Engine Programmer, claimed that the game’s engine supports up to a million particles thanks to its use of computer shaders, and talked a bit about the game’s lighting system.
