Capcom has updated its Platinum Titles list, revealing that Resident Evil 7 is its second top selling game of all time. The best selling game for Capcom is Monster Hunter World (which has sold 16.1 million units). Resident Evil 7 follows with 7.9 million units, surpassing other Resident Evil releases like Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 for old-gen platforms. Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 7 has sold more than 5.1 million units worldwide on all platforms. Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 7 has shipped 4.8 million units worldwide. In other words, the Japanese company has shipped 700k more units in its 3rd Quarter FY3/2018. For what it’s worth, Capcom targets 10 million lifetime unit sales for RE7 and it appears that this latest Resident Evil game won’t hit that goal.
