Oh, look who’s there. Yeap, that’s Peter Molyneux. You know, the hyping guy/creator behind Populous and Black & White. After leaving Lionhead and creating 22Cans, Peter decided to jump on the Kickstarter bandwagon and launched a campaign for Project GODUS. Project GODUS is said to be an innovative reinvention of Populous, the original god game and delivers exciting global co-operation, competition, creation and destruction to a whole new generation. Peter Molyneux left Microsoft cause he was being suffocated creatively; not yet made his best game

In a long interview with Develop-Online, Peter Molyneux explained the reasons he left Lionhead Studios and Microsoft. The main reason for Peter leaving MS was that he could not be as creative as he wanted to. At that time, Peter had this huge desire to make something truly special, but he was being suffocated creatively a little bit. And naturally, the cancellation of Project Milo was a huge push on making that decision. Peter Molyneux is leaving Lionhead Studios

Okay, we know that Molyneux has been hyping his games to the death, but it’s really sad to see Lionhead’s co-founder leaving the company that he has created. As the big K revealed a couple of minutes ago, Peter Molyneux will be leaving Lionhead Studios after Fable: The Journey gets finished. Ironically, this very same thing happened with Bullfrog, the first company that Molyneux created. Bullfrog was bought by EA back in the days and after a while, Molyneux left it in order to create Lionhead Studios.
