And the time has finally come ray-tracing fans. NVIDIA has just released Quake 2 RTX on Steam for free. This free version includes the 3 levels from the original shareware distribution, and Quake 2 RTX is also compatible with the full game (so those owning it will be able to experience the entire game with ray tracing). New DXR Tech Demo shows amazing real-time ray tracing and global illumination effects

Opus Visual has released a new video, showcasing its new DXR Tech Demo. This demo was created for the Nvidia DXR Contest and showcases real-time raytracing and global illumination capabilities. Unfortunately, the team did not release this tech demo to the public so we don’t know what it requires in order to run with 60fps at both 1080p and 1440p. NVIDIA’s earnings in Q1 FY20 down by 31% compared to Q1 FY19, up by 1% compared to Q4 FY19

NVIDIA has reported revenue for the first quarter ended April 28, 2019, of $2.22 billion compared with $3.21 billion a year earlier and $2.21 billion in the previous quarter. This basically means that the green team saw a drop of 31% compared to its last year’s earnings. Still, the good news is that the team also saw a 1% increase from last quarter’s earnings.
