NVIDIA’s earnings in Q1 FY20 down by 31% compared to Q1 FY19, up by 1% compared to Q4 FY19

NVIDIA has reported revenue for the first quarter ended April 28, 2019, of $2.22 billion compared with $3.21 billion a year earlier and $2.21 billion in the previous quarter. This basically means that the green team saw a drop of 31% compared to its last year’s earnings. Still, the good news is that the team also saw a 1% increase from last quarter’s earnings. Star Wars, Atomic Heart and Justice ray tracing tech demos are now available for download

NVIDIA fans, we’ve got even greater news for you today. A couple of hours ago, we informed you about the new driver that allows NVIDIA’s Pascal GPUs to run real-time ray tracing effects via the DXR API. And while there are currently only three games featuring ray tracing effects, NVIDIA has released three tech demos for you to try. NVIDIA announces Quake 2 RTX, first official screenshots and details

Back in January, we informed you about a mod for Quake 2 that added real-time ray tracing effects. Created by former NVIDIA intern Christoph Schied, a Ph.D. student at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, Q2VKPT was the first playable game that is entirely raytraced and efficiently simulates fully dynamic lighting in real-time. NVIDIA will enable real-time ray tracing for its GTX 10XX graphics cards via DXR in April

NVIDIA has announced that it will be bringing real-time ray tracing to its Pascal GPUs. According to the green team, a new driver will enable all GTX10XX series graphics cards, from GTX1060 all the way up to the GTX1080Ti, to run real-time ray tracing via the DXR API.
