Modder ‘Sergeant_Mark_IV’ has finally released the latest version of his amazing brutal mod for id Software’s classic shooter. This new version of Brutal Doom comes with new fatalities, new smoke effects, improved blood decals, much improved melee combat, new animations for a number of enemies, and adds sticky gibs. As its description reads, Doom: One is a new look on the classic first episode of the original DooM. Modder ‘SGtMarkIV’ has released a new video for Brutal Doom, showcasing a new combo system that will be featured in it. As the modder describes, in V19 there will be a simple combo system similar to the system used by the Fighter on Brutal HeXen; pressing the fire, alt fire, and kick buttons in a sequence will unleash powerful combo attacks. Things are not looking good – at all- for Doom 4 and id Software as according to Kotaku, Doom 4 has already been rebooted. As Bethesda’s vice president of marketing and public relations Pete Hines said in a statement to Kotaku, Doom 4’s initial version did not exhibit the quality and excitement that Id and Bethesda intend to deliver and as a result of that, the game has been rebooted. Doom fans, get ready for a treat. A pre-alpha version of Doom 4 has been leaked to the Internet, showcasing the first level and its tutorial mission. Contrary to the leaked artworks that we presented you a couple of months ago, this pre-alpha version is packed with a game world similar to the first classic parts of the Doom series (and not to RAGE). Each and every year, I’m looking forward to QuakeCon. It’s not that it is as exciting as E3, GDC or GamesCom. No no no, QuakeCon is something completely different. However, each and every year John Carmack talks during this event. And when this programming guru speaks, we all listen.
