SEGA and Gearbox today unveiled the official PC system requirements for their upcoming aliens game, Aliens: Colonial Marines. According to the publisher and the developer, PC gamers will at least need a dual-core CPU with 2GB of RAM and 20GB of free hard disk space. Quite surprisingly – and contrary to Aliens vs Predator – Aliens: Colonial Marines won’t support any DX11 features, as it seems that it is a DX9-only game. Otherwise, Windows XP would not be included in the Recommended specs. Here is hoping that Gearbox will surprise us. The good news here is that the game also supports Windows XP. SEGA has released a new trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines that focuses on the game’s storyline. I seriously hope that this new Aliens game will surprise me pleasantly, though I’m a bit disappointed from what I’ve already seen. Lots of scripted events everywhere and an awful AI make this a title that needs further polishing before rolling it out. Let’s hope that Gearbox will not disappoint us on this. Enjoy! Gearbox announced that the next DLC of Borderlands 2, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, will be released on January 15th on all platforms. In addition, the company has released a new trailer for it that can be viewed below. According to its description, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt teams the Vault Hunters up with Pandora’s most dignified huntsman, but the expedition quickly goes awry thanks to the interference of a new, unknown enemy. Gearbox announced that a new update for Borderlands 2 will be rolled out on all platforms today. According to the changelog – which can be viewed below – the PC version will get various fixes to some annoying issues and bugs, such as the missing decals when framerate limiter was set to 30. SEGA has released a new set of screenshots for Gearbox’s upcoming Aliens game. Aliens: Colonial Marines promises to bring new levels of bone-chilling suspense and adrenaline-filled action to the renowned franchise. SEGA has released a new trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines, showcasing the MP Survivor mode that will be featured in it. In Survivor Mode, there are four marines against a lot of aliens that can be respawned. The goal of this mode is simple; survive for as long as you can. 2K Games and Gearbox have released a new update for the PC version of Borderlands 2. This patch updates the game’s version to 1.2.0, and brings improvements to both PhysX and Nvidia’s 3D Vision. In addition, this update fixes a number of issues and bugs that plagued the PC version of Borderlands 2. Borderlands 2 is finally here with us, so it’s time to see how this bad boy performs on the PC. Gearbox has promised to polish the PC version and they are offering a nice number of parameters with which you can adjust the game’s visuals. Yes, there is a FOV slider and you can disable the mouse acceleration. However, the game itself seems to be suffering from various performance issues, issues that should not be present on a title that is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3. Borderlands 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed four-player cooperative shooter-looter that combined intense first-person mayhem with role-playing game play.
