A lot of PC gamers were disappointed with the visuals of Mass Effect 3’s demo. Although there were lots of cool effects, the game’s textures were really low-res. As you’d expect, a lot of them expressed their feelings to both BioWare and Electronic Arts. And we are happy to report that BioWare will include higher-resolution textures in the full version of Mass Effect 3 PC. Well, unfortunately the rumors were not true, as Daniel Matros has revealed that the patch won’t be coming this month. Continue reading Battlefield 3 – Next Major Patch won’t be coming in February→
Remember when everyone was jumping around – prior to Battlefield 3’s release – due to the fact that Commo Rose would be included in it? Oh the joy. Fast forward some months though and we can clearly see that Commo Rose is broken. Not only that, but it seems that it is there only for the sake of being there. In other words, Commo Rose is there in order to satisfy some old fans, and while it does that, it just isn’t useful in its current form. All this could very well change though, as DICE is working on an improved version of it. Continue reading Battlefield 3 – DICE is working on an improved version of Commo Rose→
Our dear friends at EVGA have uploaded a video to showcase Nvidia’s FXAA technology in Mass Effect 3. As we can see, FXAA does a great work at smoothing out the game’s jaggies but introduces a slight blur effect. Those interested in a different method can go ahead and try the SMAA Injector that offers even better results in most games, without blurring the image. We are not certain though if SMAA Injector is compatible with BioWare’s RPG, so use it at your own risk. Enjoy the overview video after the jump.
