Talented modder MaLDo has released a new set of comparison screenshots between Crysis 2’s Official HD textures and the ones from his upcoming HD Texture Pack. As you can see below, MaLDo’s textures blow Crytek’s HD ones out of the water and provide a much richer, and crisper look to Crysis 2. Crytek seems to have learned its lesson as Crysis 3 features textures of higher quality (than those of Crysis 2), but we can’t wait to see whether there is any room for improvements in that upcoming game and what will it look like with MaLDo’s touch. MaLDo has also expressed his disappointment over various PC gamers and their aggresive comments on his blog, so be sure to read what he had to say. Truth be told, MaLDo is right and PC gamers/fanboys should be patient and grateful that there are modders, willing to go the extra mile to improve a game’s visuals. Enjoy the following comparison shots! Continue reading MaLDo puts Crytek to shame – New Comparison Between Crysis 2 Modded & Vanilla→
Today we bring you new shots (and videos) from the works of Crysis 2 modders ordnas666, EliteGhost, The_Distiller, ReVan1199, iSqueezee, USSR_GRAND, wjmoosting, d1ea, blackhorizon, antonadamse and TheMagnumman357. The highlight of this week is – again – The_Distiller’s Balrog creature. To put it simply – CryEngine 3’s Balrog is almost the same with the one of the LOTR movie. We also should note that the STALKER-like video is NOT from a new STALKER or Clear Sky game. This is a CryEngine 3 Pripyat map from blackhorizon and nothing more. Enjoy! Eric Cochonneau has revealed – on his portfolio page – some new screenshots and artworks from Crytek’s cancelled game. This game was under development for PS3 and X360 (and possibly for the PC) back in 2008, and was called Redemption. In our previous coverage, we described this title as a ‘The Last Of Us’ game, however these new screenshots have a different look and feel than Naughty Dog’s survival game. Truth be told, Redemption was meant to be a survival game in which the main character was protecting a girl, but they seem to share different concept ideas. Enjoy and special thanks to NYC_Gamer for spotting it! Continue reading More Artworks & Screenshots from Crytek’s cancelled game; titled as ‘Redemption’ for X360 and PS3→
