Some new – rumored – details have emerged yesterday for the fourth part of the Battlefield series, coming from the same source who was the first to leak the Battlefield 4 artwork / teaser, and who was also spot on about EA releasing a teaser trailer. In other words, this new info could be real but as with all rumors, take everything you are about to read with a grain of salt.

And it’s official everyone – Battlefield 4 will be unveiled on this year’s GDC. Electronic Arts and DICE sent today some invitations for a Battlefield 4 event that will be held on March 26th. As the invitation confirms, we’ll be getting our first look on the next-era of Battlefield, meaning that EA and DICE may showcase Battlefield 4 on PC or PS4. Ah, the power of modders. Yesterday, we informed you about the opinion of Maxis’ insider regarding a possible offline mode for SimCity. Fast forward and here we are today with a modder, playing the game in offline mode for more than 20 minutes, and without having any crashing issues. YouTube’s member ‘UKAzzer’ has showcased SimCity in offline, though some debug features were disabled (as the modder didn’t have an actual developer’s build. Still, a few things did work – including editing the main highways anywhere – proving that an Offline patch for SimCity wouldn’t take much time or trouble. And the SimCity fiasco keeps going on and on. A couple of days ago, Maxis’ studio head, Lucy Bradshaw, said that an offline mode for SimCity was not possible at the moment and that it would take a significant amount of engineering work from our team to rewrite the game for single player. That was a bunch of crap, and that’s why we did not inform you about this. And it seems we were right, as a Maxis insider told RPS that SimCity can run in offline mode and that a patch wouldn’t take very much engineering. A couple of hours ago, gamers were jumping up and down when some rumored screenshots of Battlefield 4 hit the Net. Everyone was amazed by the visuals, however these are nothing more than shots from a cinematic trailer for BF3 that was created a year ago. Yeap, these are not images from Battlefield 4. As we can clearly see, Creative Studios had created a cinematic trailer for W+K and Electronic Arts. Sadly, BF4 won’t look this good. Electronic Arts has released the final piece of SP DLC for Mass Effect 3, the Citadel DLC. In order to celebrate it – and excite gamers about it – the company has also released the soundtrack of this DLC for free. According to the company, Sam Hulick, Cris Velasco, and Sascha Dikiciyan came together to compose an emotional and powerful score for this personal journey. Today we bring you new shots from 3D artists and CryEngine 3 modders Glode, scotthomer, Rens, chicken, QuadReaktor, ReVan1199, EliteGhost and i59. The highlight of this week is undoubtedly scotthomer’s finished Bioshock environment, as well as Rens’ finished environment based on Bungie’s Halo. These two guys will be featured in the next issue of the online Vertex magazine, so make sure to keep an eye on it. Both scotthomer and Rens proved that CryEngine 3 has a lot of potential, so here is hoping that developers will start taking advantage of it. Enjoy! However, it’s really funny when a developer – that does not reveal his or her true identity – tries to damage control with an anonymous account on either a gaming website or a gaming board/forum.
